I think it's pretty fair to say that whatever you think of the film from the outside is probably accurate. I'd recommend continuing to follow that instinct.

Thank you for including that you should never hide under an overpass. I'm in Tornado Alley and very few things bother me in films more than that mis-information.

List of films I watched:
My Own Private Idaho - Kind of a patchwork film. I really liked everything that was just Keanu and River Phoenix together (the campfire scene was probably the film's highlight) but the Shakespeare didn't play as well.

I would actually love "Space Oddity" played at a funeral. That would be cool.

especially if everyone got up to do the line dance to that song.

After a lengthy discussion of whether Catholics can be cremated (they can), my mother was cremated. When we were picking out the urn the funeral parlor was having a special sale where, when you bought an urn, you got a matching picture frame for free(!!). To this day, that was the weirdest set of moments of my life..

Do you have clips of you saving people, hunting things, or taking on the Family Business?

didn't half of Tag Team die earlier this year?

Agreed about "I'll Fly Away". I feel the same way about "You Are My Sunshine" - it's a sad/happy song. Both have excellent versions on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

Battle Hymn of the Republic would be awesome on bagpipes.

Put a bird on it!

When I first heard the song played during "In Bruges" I decided I need The Dubliner's Raglan Road played at my funeral.

I was actually watching him in True Romance when I first read this news.

haha, Crash is actually one of the Best Picture winners I have yet to watch. At this rate, it might end up being the last one I see. I just have no desire to watch that film and now that I'm getting down to the end of the list I'm slowly resigning myself to the idea that I will have to watch it soon.

Nope, I hated this film as well. I found it too long and not all that engaging. Also, the women characters were just terribly written. Horribly written. There's a point where, if all the female characters are just there to be bitches, just avoid putting them in the film. As a woman, I'd rather watch a film without

I'm definitely going to look into more of his stuff.

Yeah, I think Judi Dench has the other shortest time with Shakespeare in Love. I totally get why Hopkins won. It's just sort of like the dinner scene in Alien where you can't even properly enjoy it as a first time viewer because you know what's going to happen.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was nice to see Nicole Kidman back in her character actor days.

It's been fun but there have been some good and bad films. Some of the Best Picture winners have not aged well. The AFI list has pretty consistently great films, though.

Pirates 4 really was the best since the very first film. It was just entertaining without trying for insane spectacle.
