That Damn Donna Reed was the first episode of Gilmore Girls I ever saw and still one of my favorites. I love when Lorelai starts mocking Rory for the Donna Reed outfit. It's also probably the first episode where Sookie has the words of wisdom in regards to Lorelai inviting Luke over to help find the bird. All in all,

Of all the films I saw last year I feel like Beasts of the Southern Wild was the only one that awed me as much on my second viewing as it did when I first watched. Great film.

Loved Rome. It was one of the few shows that made it's time period seem "lived in" without being cheesy. As great as Ray Stevens is, though, I really enjoy Kevin McKidd's performance throughout the show. Where Pullo got to stay roughly the same emotionally, McKidd got to run the gambit a bit more. Plus, I like that

Went to a local library book sale and purchased more books than I should have, considering the time I devote to reading these days. But, I am now the proud owner of such titles as "Run Silent, Run Deep", "Pillars of the Earth", and the film "White Heat". Either way, it was a fun time for a good cause. The only odd

*whistles "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again"*

The white tulip at the end. Thinking about it now still gets me.

The best thing about The Truman Show's ending is that it shows the difference between the ending for Truman and the ending for the viewing audience. For Truman it's an epic moment…for the viewing audience they have an additional couple minutes of "that was amazing!" before the inevitable "I wonder what else is on."

The Lost Battalion was well done. Also well done: back then the History Channel had actual discussion of
the history vs. movie aspects before, during, and after showing the
film. I just remember that after the whole film the end notes said that Whittlesey killed himself due to the trauma of his war-time experience.

Not only did he direct it, he's responsible for the song being a single at all. Apparently he went to the record company and said something along the lines of "I have a good idea for a video to this song." and they released it.

Is it odd that I kind of want Felicity and Oliver to be the actual end game couple? I don't want them to happen for a long, long time. Felicity needs more characterization and a couple boyfriends of her own. But I like the idea of those two together…eventually.

Here's my complaint about this episode: Please don't combine "What is and what should never be" with "Dream a little dream of me" and then not have the awesome looking djinn while shorting the dream sequence.

The only episodes I've seen from the current season have been her episodes but I feel like it's closer to the show I used to watch when she's around. I'd probably watch more consistently again if she were around more regularly.

I'm saddened by the lack of Kablaam related items. Prometheus and Bob or Action League Now should have been represented.  That being said, I did enjoy the Hey Arnold Helga shrine thing.

I don't remember how old I was when I got it but Matchbox 20s first album was sort of a big deal for me back then. There's a song on the album called "Long Day" that starts out with the lyrics: "it's sittin' by the overcoat/
the second shelf/
the note she wrote/
that I can't seem/
to throw away"

It's not on Middle of Nowhere but I will step up and say that "Penny and Me" is in my top ten favorite songs.

Yeah, CCR was the Great Unifier in my family's car trips as well. Still great to this day.

Since I'm replying four days later I don't expect a reply or any notice, but while I'm here:

I like Hutcherson but they made Peeta more of a "damsel in distress" than most Disney princesses. I'm hoping that this one actually give him something to do. Also, "the thing" (as reference below) needs to be a central part of the mockingjay movies.

"What'd you do to my nails?!"

I'd be cool with Tennant as Norrell. He could play Norrell as super crotchety to make up for the lack of age.  If Tom Hiddleston is only doing less than five movies right now someone should convince him to be Strange.
