I believe that was called Turbulence, starring Lauren Holly and Ray Liotta.

Thank you, @avclub-e8f104ee25abc2bbf7080be1923bbf07:disqus . Those are now on my watch-list. I make a point of subjecting myself to something Bela at least once a month.

That joke only works in Europe, unfortunately.

In 1943 Bela Lugosi starred in The Ape Man, about a scientist trying to find a cure after accidentally turning himself into a half-ape. In 1944 Bela Lugosi starred in Return of the Ape Man, about an entirely different scientist resurrecting a cave man with an assist from John Carradine's brain. Not only did Return

Alien Resurrection was the first Alien movie I saw and as such I liked it quite a bit. Remove all the baggage of expectations and continuity and it's an enjoyably inscrutable sci-fi movie that has Leland Orser being all Leland Orsery, Ron Perlman Master-Blastering with that little French dude from City of Lost Children

We thought we'd seen it all, but Six just tuchus to a new level.

That's far too many legs. Does the prefix "centi" mean nothing to these people?

It is pretty different from most of the other Hawkwind I've heard, much more grounded in hippie psych rock than their proggier stuff. I like most of what I've listened to, but I'll admit I like them best at their most accessible.

Will Shortz would like to remind you that it's spelled "Arte."

Wait, now - where does that leave Basket Case 2 and Basket Case 3: The Progeny?

"a 'coming-of-age' story that will focus on a teenage boy and girl"

So the sheriff was just pissed off that his dad got more pussy than him?

Damn. That book sounds like a more cynical extension of Yellow Submarine. Of course, Norman Vincent Peale was more cynical than Yellow Submarine, but still…

Yeah, he's probably my favorite part of the movie. Fuck those hippies for screwing with a man's snakecatching livelihood.

Delaney and Bonnie is a helluva muse.

Yeah, on paper this should be one of my all-time favorites - I thrive on sleazy '70s character studies - but it just didn't do much for me. I found it alternately silly and ponderous in all the wrong places, like a less pretentious Easy Rider crossed with a more pretentious Smokey and the Bandit.

Yeah, digging into their first album right now. This is right up my alley.

Ooh… I'm a big fan of fairly tedious organ-based '70s hard rock.  I shall now investigate Lucifer's Friend. Thanks!

They could've stopped with "Hurry On Sundown" and I'd still adore them. I'm glad they didn't, but they could've.
