Magic is such an odd movie in just about every regard. I love the concept that a creepy nerd could become a massive star in 1970s New York with what appears to be a fairly standard ventriloquist's act, and that a movie about that concept somehow found an excuse to include a topless Ann-Margaret.

I'll throw in for Moe Tucker. She's not a great or even good or even decent or even consistently listenable vocalist by any means, and I don't think she drums much on her solo albums, but damn if those albums aren't wonderful in spite of (because of?) all that.

My high school had a narc once. It was '97 so they dressed him in a rotation of two or three Marilyn Manson shirts and had him grow a Bud Bundy beard.
