Now that you mention it, I'm kind of surprised nobody's made a "Fuck, Marry, Kill" movie yet.

You could always switch to wrening over a new Pines album…

Holy Christ, I hope so! An artsy Family Circus movie with Bill Murray as Bil Keane would be a must-see.

Roman numerals? They never even tried to teach us that!

That's one of the more depressing books I've read in recent years. The opening chapter, where people in a small town couldn't find any information about a life-threatening chemical spill because none of their local media outlets were actually run by locals, is horrifying.

Missing much. Up until Harry Goz died, that show was a gift from the heavens.

Nah, the Mandolin Wind couldn't change a thing.

Me too. What an odd cast that was - Harry Anderson, Patrick Warburton, Meshach Taylor and Shadoe friggin' Stevens, plus that mom who I don't think I've ever seen in anything else.

Yes. E's covers are always killer and that was one of the best. The most gorgeous cover I've seen him do was Daniel Johston's "Living Life" on the With Strings tour. The most ass-kicking was Prince's "I Could Never Take the Place of Ur Man" as the encore of the same set.

That documentary is really good. I saw E tour with it a few years ago and he seemed as proud of it as he is of his music.

But there's no rape in the Bible!

Those are both highlights. "Sitting on Top of the World" is also great, "Drunken Boat" is a lot of fun and "Once Upon a Time" is just lovely. I really like the entire album. It probably helps that it came out just as I was having my awakening to good music.

I'm going to take the controversial position that the maligned, Shane-less Waiting for Herb is a pretty great album. The trouble is that it isn't much of a Pogues album. If it had been released under a different band name, it may have been better received.

That's Lou Reed's birthday, appropriately enough.

I'm the rare Eels fan who considers "Electroshock" slightly overrated, so here we go:

I saw bits and pieces of a few when my little brother was a high school No Limit fan. A lot of the scenes were just lifted wholesale from things like Scarface and Goodfellas - shot composition, lighting, entire lines of dialogue, etc. It's kind of like watching one of Max's plays from Rushmore, but with lower

Ah, that's actually the one I was thinking of. Pope seems to be available via Grindhouse Releasing.

You missed a letter.

I'll always go to bat for The Wash with Snoop and Dre as troublemaking car wash workers. It's pretty much a formless knock off of Car Wash until they slap together a half-assed kidnapping subplot at the end, but taken as such it's a lot of fun. If nothing else, George Wallace is fantastic as the car wash owner ("Boy,
