there's an earlier film version of The Talented Mr Ripley? cannot find on imdb (though i see some of the sequels were made into films with some pretty interesting actors - willem dafoe, alan cumming, john malkovich).

the pool thing is terrible. so, so terrible. and the worst things is maybe not the actual intestines being…sucked out, its the knowing the kid had to explain what happened afterwards.

but i also think alicia objected to having to do the work in the men's camp because she didnt like the power imbalance of it, like the women were servants for the men. i can understand that.

so you think emily subcontracted nolan's security detail and had them eliminate tyler? i agree it fits the facts but wouldnt emily want to keep her business quiet and not involve outsiders if not absolutely necessary? OR, do you mean that maybe a security guy came along and snagged the photo and had nothing to do with…
