I sort of did as a lark back around the third episode this season, when it became clear that Walter's diminished presence was a trend. Unfortunately it looks like the principle cast members (with a couple of exceptions) are all busy with one project or another. I can dream, though!

Some states allow people to declare being a Jedi as their official religion. The fed might even allow it.

I have no regrets. Btw, your avatar made me put on Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven. Haven't listened to it in awhile.

My sentiments exactly. Jessica Walter did an interview last month where it seemed like she was in perfect health. It was reassuring.

Did someone say "structuralist"?

:D I just made the connection not too long ago, when I was re-watching Season 5 with a friend and the episode where Agent Hawley arrests everyone for treason came on. I freaked out, and she was like, "Why is that voice familiar?" She's never been a big Adult Swim fan (that would be me), so I showed her that meme of

Yeah our tickets weren't that bad, but I'm sure that's typical. I enjoyed their set, but I'd be lying if I said that after Clark left the stage I wasn't on a bit of a comedown the rest of the night.

Thanks! I'll have to check out her stuff :)

My favorite quotes by far came from the whole sequence with Malory chastising Ron ("Are you out of your goddamned mind!?") for smoking while reading "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" to AJ, but only because she just had the drapes cleaned. Smash cut to Ron and AJ outside on the balcony, Ron still smoking while reading:

Every time Gary Cole guest stars I realize how much I miss Harvey Birdman.

Both of those shows were part of a string of bad luck that befell my concert-going experiences as a Missourian. In between those was the time that Nine Inch Nails canceled a show at the Hearnes Center in Columbia (because of low ticket sales, I believe). It was The Downward Spiral tour and I was the third person in

That's understandable. I hesitated, myself, but I have a crush on Annie Clark, and I wasn't sure when she would again come through the particular part of flyover country that I live in. Plus a friend and her brother are Black Keys fans, so we made a day of it.

An upvote for you or your then-girlfriend, whichever one of you would let England shake.

I saw the Smashing Pumpkins when they were headlining Lollapalooza '94, along with the Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, George Clinton, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the Breeders, and L7. Great lineup, kickass day. The Pumpkins were like a few songs into their set (all tracks from Siamese Dream—great stuff) when

Went to a Black Keys gig just to see St. Vincent open for them.

If he'll sing "Wishing Well" I'm down for a visit.

He was the example Gervais used (Life thru a Lens, specifically, if memory serves). I don't know that much about him (or Take That). I'm in the U.S. and I wasn't a big pop aficionado during his peak years, so I was mostly insulated from exposure to him. I do remember "She's the One" because whatever piped-in music

Season 2 is underrated, in my opinion. I blame Ziggy.

When I got to Trent I immediately thought of Reznor for some reason, and that led to me thinking of a wonderful alternate universe in which Trent Reznor deals weed.

Reading Larry Summers trying to critique Piketty's methodology was a joy to behold. I could feel the flop sweat oozing through the electronic ether.
