Modern sci-fi movies where the third act worked? Children of Men, Eternal Sunshine… any others?

That's the Asylum version, Kings of Salem, here just in time to cash in on the inevitable Lords of Salem juggernaut.
"I'm three weeks early for the ICP Unplugged show."
I'm a huge fan of horror movies and violent movies, but Devil's Rejects joins the list of movies that I liked, but that made me feel genuinely lousy. Also on the list: Funny Games, The Strangers, Dogtooth
Such a great song! My ipod played ABC's "All of My Heart" right after "Disintegration" one day… worth listening to back-to-back. Very similar in some ways.
I Wish that this was true.
The horn mix of "Close to Me" is quite good!
Sticky Fingers?
Yes, @avclub-e5aa165afeeb4eca6d59fc57aaf02ec6:disqus , part of the fun of Pornography is how ridiculous and maudlin it is. I love it!
Disintegration really is mixed/mastered to be played loud: like MVB's Loveless, it is mixed at a relatively low volume with lots of headroom, which means that it sounds better and better as it's turned up louder and louder.
That's also why Pornography is a great, distinct album, and not just a continuation of Faith's drum-n-bass: the awesome, blazing guitars.
I love Japanese Whispers. It has a very coherent feel despite the fact that it is a compilation. All those B-sides are fantastic: Lament, The Upstairs Room, The Dream, Just One Kiss… great stuff.

@avclub-230e46d19fe78a6c8dc715659a7188d7:disqus Here's Smith's original Ep1 review from the day http://viewaskew.com/press/…
Being an old guy, I have heard the title many times but I get things confused with other things, so I assumed that it was one of those dance contest movies. Now that I know what it really is, I will try to see it (before I forget again later today).
I feel about the same way that Smith does about Phantom Menace. I'm also about the same age as Smith. I think there is something about that age and Star Wars fandom—the prequels got just enough right (the sound effects, the scene transitions, the pacing) to satisfy what we were looking for.
It Might Get Pretentious
No one wants a needle on their balls. And spinning at 45 RPM? Ouch!
The Way-Outs must have recorded straight to Minidisc.
I love the idea that I can make records that no one wants to listen to, just like Jack White.
