I don't know many PiL songs beyond the hits, but "Public Image" is one of the greatest songs of the post-punk era. It really sounds like the transition from punk to something else!

The setting is a future utopia, created more by laziness and accident ("as things fell apart, nobody paid much attention") than by design. I was the problem. I remember that all the alternagirls that I mooned over had crushes on Evan Dando and I was like "screw this jerk!" Then I listened to Ray and all of the songs were good. Then the songs on Come on Feel were even better. I still pretended that I hated him, of course.

I found that I liked it quite well the first few listens, but I quickly tired of it. Their sound is so specific that it started to sound like novelty music to me after a while. They are much better than Squirrel Nut Zippers, but I felt kind of the same way about their big record back in the 90s.

For whatever reason, Walking Dead pulls in a lot of "regular folks." GoT is a big cult, but still a cult.
