@avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus I totally get what you're saying, and I agree with how polarizing it is.  I just think that it is by far Arronfsky's weakest film.  It is beautifully shot, but thematically it wants to be something huge and expansive, but winds up just being confusing and convoluted.

This movie will be great, if only for the hysterical image of hundreds of pre-teen girls lining up around the corner to watch soft core porn.
