X-Men?
Why no mention of two double disc volumes of the 90s X-Men animated series being released? I've been waiting for this for years!
Damn, I'm fucking hearbroken to find out that Stan Lee isnt going to be in this one. I hope he's alright.
To clarify, the Ang Lee Hulk was one of those pleasant surprises. I was refering to the Ed Norton Hulk as being shit. I should have been more clear. Ironman looked like it was going to be a really bad idea, then…
I'm A Sucker
I know this will suck, yet I know I will see it. I see just about every superhero movie (except any of the Fantastic Fours. Not even Silver Surfer could make me see thoses), always suspecting that it wont be worht my $11.50. Sometimes I'm sure I will enjoy it (DK, Spider-man because of Raimi), sometimes…
Definitely the greatest desparity between a character who was cool in the comic book then lame in the movie was Nightcrawler.
His character was best as a kind of swashbuckling Errol Flynn-like freak-show with a spiritual streak. Then in X2 he had one awesome action scene and then spent the rest of the movie as a…
Yeah, this is all happening a week before finals. The AV Club should realize that most of their readers are lazy college kids who put off studying and writing ten-page papers till the last minute. If they dont get a lot of feedback the first time, it will probably becuase of finals.
Wait, so was the lookalike Sasha Feirce wearing her robot-claw-hand?
Man, he's like a dozen Billy Bob Thortons! What an asshole! But you do get the feeling that hes like a wounded animal, that his been so used to being attacked all the time he interpretes ANY question as being aggresive. But still, we should hold people more responisble for their dickish attitude than we would an…
Thanks for the tip, conz.
"I'm a white male, age 18 to 35, everyone listens to me, no matter how stupid my suggestions are"!
(picks up a can of Nuts n' Gum, "together at last!")
I never read it, but I am always interested whenever I pass by it at the comic shop. It just seems like a white version Love and Rockets to me. Please tell me if my impression is wrong, and where I should begin if I want to jump into this series.
Does anyone else think that wax Nicole Kidman looks a lot like Susan from Seinfeld? Or that the wax Julia Roberts looks like Darlene from Roseanne?
Adam
I thought that this was going to be about Adam Sandler. It would explain a lot.
Thats a very 80s guy, Reaganite, response, Josh. I'll see you at the next coke party, where we'll continued to shift the paradigm. I'll let you worry about blank.
I love King Cat, so I cant agree with you there, but I ditto Finder, though I dont know what I would replace it with?
@edked- I agree with your sentiment (I certainly enjoy anything Jaime produces, whether sci-fi or realist,) however it is a fact that many L&R fans were turned off by Jaime's switch to more realistic stories, and there are some who did not begin to get into L&R until after Jaime switched styles. Of course, elements…
I dont know if subtle is how I would catagorize any of Kurtzman's war comics. He was always blatantly anti-Korean War. But, his line work was unparalleled. His story "The Big If" features some of the most affecting and beautiful brushwork in any comic I've ever seen! He was a true master of his craft.
Holiday Heart
Always makes me cry when she gets hit by that car trying get that damn bicycle! When its on (pretty much every Sunday afternoon on BET) I watch it. She plays a great crack head!

Joe Kickass, that is an awesome avatar!
