U2 Can Change the World
How is it that U2 could spend years talking about the need to change society and make everyone more compassionate, and now that Obama is president and the buzzword of the decade is 'Change", they go and release some fuckin' garbage like 'Get on Your Boots'! How could they so totally miss the

What Happened?
This was on the website, then I went to check out a DVD review, then when I went back it was gone. Tried refreshing a couple of times, nothing. Then when I went back to a DVD review, it was listed under 'More Reviews'. Is it like, not ready yet or something? Did this happen to anyone else?

Oh the Possibilities of a dreadfully failed firstie!

Boy, Clark, I've never heard that take on Wonder Woman's lasso! What a bombshell perspective! Any opinions on the relationship between Batman and Robin? Gee, ever notice that Superman's only disguise as Clark Kent is those glasses? I wonder if anyone else has ever thought of these things? Great contribution to the

An early MAD comic (back when MAD was a comic before Gaines changed the format in 1956 to get around the Comics Code) featured a rather buxom and ditzy Wonder Woman changing into her costume IN the Invisible Plane and Steve Trevor as a kind of leering pervert spying on her. The undressing happened off panel, but still

Blick- In fact, the covers of those 40s Golden Age comics usually did not reflect the actual contents. There were covers printed which had Superman fighting Hitler and Nazis, however in actual Superman continuity he never went overseas. The story goes that Clark Kent accidentally fails his Army eye exam by slipping

I agree that the lack of a Wonder Woman movie seems suspicously sexist. Perhaps the studios dont believe that enough men would be interested in seeing a female hero, nor enough women interested in seeing an action movie, done seriously and not in some slapsticky Charles Angel style. But there could be other reasons.

What A Blunder, Donald!
Without the Diceman no ones going to watch this shit! You should have waited until, like, the final three until you eject the most obvious heel.

Peter David is the Lars Ulrich of comics.

Since this movie has both Chun-Li and Vega, I wonder if they recreated the fan-service nudie shower fight scene from SF2: The Animated Movie? Nay, if they did that than it wouldnt have gotten an F.

ivory tickler is the expression.

Sorry to spoil the fun
I dont think anyone well read this, being so late and all, but direct graphic novel adaptations dont work for me. Hollywood needs to understand that the comic book are its own independent medium; not simply polished, book length storyboards for future films.
Now you may say, 'but raindog, what

Dollar, if you felt that Ghost World got screwed, why in the world would you want maus to get similarly screwed?

Tar-Baby- Astonishing is a good pick (I mentioned it in a later post on this board), but I'd also recomend 'The Long Halloween' as a really fine Batman story which is perfectly self-contained and would serve as a good Gateway itself.

Indy!
This sounds like the only interesting thing premiering this week. How can you have a Street Fighter movie without Guile! How!

Tar-Baby-

Silverlake hipsters can kick Brooklyn hipster asses any day of the week! Has Silverlake ever been in a season of the Real World? No! Silverlake owns!!!

Cerebus? Seriously? Thats, like, ten thousand pages long! How would that be gateway?

Kyle Ryan
Is the winner.

I still think that the Comics Panel leans indie. Great write up on 'Kaspar' by the way! I read the comic last night.
