Again, dudes, the only valid purpose of these lists is to give you an idea of some good things you may have missed out on. Breaking Bad is by far the most talked about show of the year and got all kinds of platitudes when it was ending there, you don't need it to be gave some kind of meaningless title for your opinion

Totally get what you're saying there, I had a lot of people I recommended it to dismiss it purely on the basis of how they sounded. That promo video they had for season one was toxic, for example.

I dunno if that says more about "our time", that's human condition type stuff. Personally, I felt Enlightened really struck home in terms of just how impossible it seems to be to even figure out a possible way to make a difference, how damaging it can be to you and to others to achieve it, what do you need to make it

Pretty much, like, Breaking Bad was almost guaranteed to run away with the aggregated list on metacritic even if every publication decided to go with something else as first (Look! http://www.metacritic.com/f… . Don't get why people need these lists to be some sort of validation of their taste.
I'd nearly be tempted to

Wait, is Enlightened now either guaranteed number 1 or it's not going to appear in the list at all?! I always prefer something a little surprising getting number 1 anyways, should use the spot to promote something instead of going for the obvious thing, I prefer these lists actually introduce me to something new than

it was horribly by the numbers, fox shelling out the big money for it was enough to make it overrated. I couldn't comprehend it getting anything other than a neutral review. Dude got it bang on here.

The Returned felt like a moderately interesting gimmick thing (with a great score!) that people seem to always lap up and gradually lose interest in.

Actually, been thinking about it since. The fact that the hospital is being so clearly portrayed as being the worst of the worst (which was never really part of the UK one iirc?) is enough of a seed for this show to develop into something else.

Woah, the pilot is remarkably similar to the original, absolutely pointless. The cast are a bit less believable to me, but that's because Jo Brand et al fit very much into the types of characters I've seen working in Irish and English hospitals. Hope it develops a bit more of a voice of its own as it goes along

Gonna throw a few names out here from a pretty wide range of time, since maybe 2000 or so. Saw none of it as it aired so it's all kinda jumbled together for me. It has been a pretty poor period for the UK overall though, but asides from the usual suspects (Peep Show, the Thick of It… em…. eh… Stewart Lee?), here's a

Haven't seen this version yet but I'd be very surprised if it's a copy and paste job, the UK public healthcare system is a fair bit different to the US one and the characters all felt pretty distinct to that kind of system imo. I guess they could be tweaked a bit to fit into the US one too but it'd be a stretch.
The UK

I was getting the idea that Collin is gonna be slowly revealed to be an aloof stoner loser type.

Saw the whole series a while back, thought it started off well but was completely fed up of it by the end. Victor was a big problem, the kid, despite having a creepy face and all, somehow lacks the range required to pull off standing still and looking creepy in a convincing manner after a while, just felt like a

Woah, there's a Parenthood podcast?! I like the show, but why?

Did one of these out of the blue election campaigns ever work in a show?

SoA was always under risk of becoming a bit too stupid, and once it would, the whole thing would just seem ludicrous, seems to have reached that point with me.
Real shame too RE: Donal Logue, the guy's a great actor and deserves better than this tripe.

Started watching Cheers about 6 months ago and I'm wrapping it up now. The show's incredible, excluding the Simpsons it's the best US sitcom I've seen. I think I was put off for a few years by the facts that I was going to spend two seasons anticipating Frasier and another season anticipating Woody, along with the

Wow guys, is this how quickly everyone is going to forget about Enlightened?

I always compare Breaking Bad to the Shield because I felt it managed similar kinds of things as what this article is talking about, with an absolutely amazing final season to wrap it all up.

Yeah, I dunno, this Alex one is just giving me my usual Dean Moriarty vibes that characters like her always give me.
Doesn't help that I don't think That 70s Show is any good in the role.
