Well, what else is new?

Would I be able to use a phase plasma rifle in a 40 watt range?

A wonderful end to what I can only describe as television's finest drama.

So many of the greats are gone. The men who had forged the sound of the blues and in turn gave us rock and roll, have passed on. Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Ray Charles etc.
Of course, even if the men are gone, their music will never leave.
I have to imagine that when we all meet again, it will be somewhere, maybe Sweet

He's aiming the gun…AT US!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's time to pull the plug.

I can't believe they cover Amon Amarth! That band is basically the death metal version of Manowar and oh-so-fun.
I will be checking this out on your recommendation.

Plus, "Fear Of A Blank Planet" is practically THE song about my generation, as cynical and truthful as it can be.

I would have loved to see a collaboration between the King and Dio. That would have been some demented(and epic) stuff.

After listening to that one, I felt like I was eight miles high and I was about to fall!

What an absolutely malevolent riff!

Junior's Eyes is about the most emotional thing the original Sabbath ever did. Hell, I love those two records. After listening to the first few so much over the years, they now seem fresh. I dig the proggy style that Iommi was fusing for the band.

I hope you jump on a tiger and know he's mean.

I always thought things like "Stargazer" and "Heaven and Hell" had fine lyrics. Many a rocker could learn much from that approach. It was subtle and as you said, interpretive. I like that.

You think these guys would love Porcupine Tree, at least, but I guess not…

You know Pitchfork is a bunch of assholes when they make a list of the 100 greatest records of the 1980s and not a single metal(!) release makes the grade.
That's right.
No Metallica, Slayer, Maiden, Motorhead, Sabbath, Priest, Ozzy, Accept, Scorpions or…Dio.

Even Ozzy defends Dio nowadays. I think they would all whoop some ass.

You really should reconsider Accept. The last few albums are very good.

Note: Metallica released a medley last year that included "Stargazer," along with "A Light In The Black," "Tarot Woman" and "Kill The King."
It was part of a compilation that also included Scorpions, Rob Halford, Anthrax, Motorhead etc.

Ronnie James Dio is who I refer to as "the man with the Midas touch." Nearly everything he did had something special on it. Even weaker records like "Lock Up The Wolves," had the epic, powerful title track. His work with Sabbath has become as essential as the Ozzy-era masterpieces and his stuff with Rainbow was simply
