Anytime Todd says he was nearly driven to quit something because it was so bad but soldiered on because it's his job to watch TV, I chuckle to myself.

@HobbesMkii:disqus No, I'm not talking about the roofie thing. I'm talking about when Michael and GOB meet to discuss business the day of GOB going to the magic show before he's met Tony Wonder.
@Scrawler2:disqus @avclub-7656b560c7e180f8e0d84ca82ac0d8b7:disqus Right, yeah. It's like the day OF though that portion of the conversation isn't shown until his second episode. Just the "I'm dating someone famous" part is shown.
STILL SPOILERS, STUPID
Yeah, I love that opening scene in Drive too.
Are we allowed to mention spoilers for future episode stuff here? Because there's something I don't understand about GOB's storyline in the next episode, but don't want to ruin things for someone who's—ya freak bitches (Miss you, Franklin)—watching it along with these reviews.
Keep telling yourself that, buddy.
Ah, OK. i looked it up. I thought it was eh.
What I hated, though, is that it's one of the episodes where stuff just ends and is never brought back. Like, after this, the overall plot line of George Sr. is just done. Very few new insights come from "the puzzle" of the Cinco party. It's my primary problem with the…
Yeah, I agree. Unless it's a Borges story, that sort of thing suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
I don't think I even remember which episode "Double Crossers" is. So, yeah, it must not have been a good one.
Glad you like it.
Yeah, this is up there with the Malick one for me. Goddamn.
@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus Yeah, I love video games, but I don't like my films looking like one unless it's somehow a particular style it's striving for (ie, not like this).
^ This guy gets it.
Yeah, I'd watch that.
"Even Gameological gave it a good review."
Let me know what you think of it. Debating on purchasing it but don't want to spend the money just yet. I know all the review sites are shitting themselves over it, but they do that for a game every three months or so.
I want to keep my expectations down—because that RT and Metacritic score aren't the most hype building things in the world—but dammit I want this to be good so badly.
People always say "Oh, but the CGI isn't done yet!" for stuff like this, but I find it almost rarely looks better. That's a funky shot. Hopefully the other ones aren't as odd.
My reaction was: "KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE!"
