I don't read it either, but that's immediately what it made me think of.

I think I just recall seeing you talk about it a lot. And it's better than any of Community Season 4.
@avclub-bca3531762af8a993c4f60c48fd5e33b:disqus I think you mean the ¡Los Voighto-Kampoffo del Diablo! test.
Had you read other Pynchon?
Oh for sure. And while I'd love to see Rocketman running bout the Zone. I doubt stuff like Seaman Bodine's and Mexico's disgusting dinner alliteration game would work as well on screen.
I think so. I'm also told it's probably the easiest of his to adapt.
@avclub-eaff9f19dbfd5c5a5807b5dbfa656ec9:disqus I kind of think the discursive, obsessive tangents of Gravity's Rainbow are kind of the whole point of the book. Sometimes it's hard not to just be in awe of how smart/the research Pynchon clearly did for the book.
Because it generally takes like thirty minutes just to read through one.
@avclub-f6f154417c4665861583f9b9c4afafa2:disqus Yeah, that's what I've been told. I have Against the Day on my shelf, and I even started reading it one afternoon about two years ago (I had a habit of buying books to read after college while I was still in it), and I found it surprisingly easier than the bit of Gravity'…
Agreed. Love the old woman's glee as ol' Slothrop tries to force that goo down. Maniacs.
Yeah, mine's my actual name too.
Mine's sort of the opposite of Abbies Dad. I'm about 30 or so pages from the end, and I'm pretty convinced it's one of the best things I've ever read. It is about four or five great novels tossed in a blender, but I think what results is a single excellent novel.
I've always had the weird, sort of unproven thought that she could be good, but simply fell into a genre of films that don't allow her much promise. I mean, I thought The Blind Side was terrible, but Bullock's cheesiness wasn't the worst part.
I wonder if that will ever get a Blu Ray release. I'd love to watch it after I finally get around to the Tarkovsky one.
@avclub-0304234e5dac07d007cf06c22b3f29c4:disqus Just think of it like poetry.
But what about Prome—haha, sorry, no. Can't do it.
Yeah I need to see it too.
^^^ FUCKING INCORRECT COMMENTER ^^^
I need to get around to reading this. Maybe after I wrap up Gravity's Rainbow and then finish the newest Saunders.
I think it might be the most prominent music in Wit, actually. I don't really recall anything else though I'm sure something was there. Really underrated little film.
