Thor was as good as could be for a movie about a Norse god.

thanks for blowing it for me ;)
So many HBO shows end first season w/ major character killed: Deadwood (Wild Bill), Sopranos (Jackie Abrillo), Rome (Ceasar), probably some others. Ned's passing seemed very HBO-like to me.
I was holding my breath the whole episode anticipating the new girl getting killed in some horrible fashion.
They need to give Robb airtime and flesh out what is only referenced in the book. They probably couldn't land an actor for Rob unless they were guaranteed enough screen time to come off as a major character. Although major in the books, he isn't major enough to get his own POV chapters. So, they are messing with his…
It was stupid in a sense, but it also went into the dark territory of sadism. And boy, does Joffrey have Freudian issues. It was an uncomfortable scene, maybe even unnecessary, but it served its purpose: make everyone squirm.
I wasn't sure at first exactly what he intended with that huge pole
The Shadow Baby scene is a great example of how TV can be better than a book, sometimes.
I'm not sure about you guys, but my imagination definitely didn't come up with that when I was reading those passages.
I thought the first 2/3 was really funny. Last third was indeed weird. I don't think it was worst episode ever as some posit.
I always thought Washington's experience as a scout during the French-Indian War had much cinematic potential. Much more to the man than just a war hero and our country's father.
The song is the music John (Ice) and Dany (fire) will make when they finally fuck
Am I right in my theory that the Stark kids are experiencing Warg-ness because the magic is back in the world after the birth of Dany's dragons? It seems like the presence of Dragons allows magic to be present or amplifies magic.
We haven't even met Euron and Victarion (or whatever his name is) yet. If you like Balon, you'll love these guys.
That's the set-up for the story. You think its going to take some path where all the kids band up and kick ass to save dad or something. About the time Sansa's direwolf gets killed by Ned, that possibility begins to seem less likely. Any lingering perceptions are ultimately shattered when Ned's head gets lopped off.
I could be wrong, but didn't Craster hand over the boys to the wildlings so they could grow their ranks. I don't recall the sacrifice thing…
CAmp Saginaw?
There are ton of music videos out there. Just not on MTV. Check out this thing called Youtube/ VEVO/ Vimeo.
The evolution of the show could be headed in that direction I guess. If the quality of the recent musical numbers persists, I think the show has much more life. Could be a rare instance of a show getting better in its later years…just sayin…
Agreed - both songs are classic. Jackin it is great. I'd say B+, daresay even an A-?
I think we've found our State diehards :)
