Absolutely. I like not having a big bad every week. Although I will say, I liked that they established a context for the first one, and that was sorely lacking with the second.

Coran is silly but he has a lot of genuine wisdom and skills. After watching all of it I'm pleased with the balance they struck, because a fast paced show like this didn't need an older stick in the mud character dragging things down.

Have you tried and failed to watch the new Voltron or are you just making assumptions? For me the pacing of the action and the snappy dialogue kept things interesting and 11 episodes was over far too quickly.
