A persian is kind of a cinnamon roll donut with strawberry icing.  It comes from its own store, The Persian Man.  I visited friends in Thunder Bay years ago, and that and the Hoito (a famous-ish Finnish breakfast place) were my culinary tour of TB.

My understanding is it's all in the donair sauce.  Instead of yogurt/tsaziki they make it with condensed milk, sugar, and garlic.
