I just watched the non-canon Futurama episode Reincarnation over the weekend, and welcome it as long as it's better than Futurama's holiday spectacular dud from last year.

It's going to be an exhausting premiere with the introduction of Omar and Goodman while dealing with Pierce's place in the group.

I think this season is going to have a lot with her dad.  They bring in Ray Wise for a five-second bit in the middle of last season then remind us of Robin's daddy issues in the season opener.

This was like watching the pilot for the American Office — so many lines seemed to be straight from the original, and it felt like a weird restaging of a show I like.  Maybe once they start writing original stuff the show will get better (or cancelled).
