Which movie? The Jake Gyllenhaal one or the Eddie Murphy one?

I remember hearing something about After Earth being a pro-Scientology movie, but that was probably due more to Will Smith's involvement than M. Night.

Like a spin-off of An American Tail, about a dystopian society of mice that has enslaved all the females?

I've been wanting to hear from someone who saw Split but not Unbreakable. What did you think when you first saw that ending? I can only imagine what some people were thinking who saw this; "And the big twist ending is… Bruce Willis plays the guy in the diner!!"

I have a feeling I know where M. Night is going with this. There's McAvoy's line about damaged people being superior, or something like that, which I think implies in the Unbreakable universe, people with mental illness, depression, PTSD, autism, etc. are potential superheroes/villains. I hope M.Night isn't that tone

Yeah, after The Visit and this movie, M.Night really seems to be trying to get out the message that mentally ill people are pure evil.

He also did a pretty good interview with Weird Al where he got him to open up about the death of his parents. He even made Drew Carey seem interesting.

Fuck Shrek! That's where All Star began, dammit!!

Don't forget Ravenous, the movie I saw just to see a Phantom Menace trailer, then ended up liking more.

God, remember those 2002-2003 special effects scenes where the main character would suddenly (and unconvincingly) turn into a video game character? It practically ruined the first Spider-Man movie.

While I was watching High-Rise, it felt like I was watching something I would normally really like, but I just… didn't. It took way too long to get to where it was going, and didn't have much to say when it got there (now here's some audio of Margaret Thatcher talking about capitalism, it case you don't get the

I always rooted for the antagonist in these hunter/hunted cartoon pairings, for some reason. I would pay good money to see Wile E Coyote eat the Road Runner.

Yeah. It seems like you'd have to throw something forehand like a frisbee to get it go through a wall. Anger throwing tends to be heaving and chucking.

The Fox with Cox in His Sox by Dr. Suess.

Yeah, I'm Jewish and know all about the fighting between Orthodox, Progressives, Conservatives, Eastern Europeans. In all fairness, I have alot of aunts and uncles who hated Obama because he "didn't support Israel", and some who even fell for the "he's a secret Muslim sleeper agent" crap. It's still sort of shocking

It always confounds me, this petty in-fighting that happens in cultures. My girlfriend is Puerto Rican and she was telling about how a lot of her relatives voted for Trump because they look down on Mexicans and don't want them in the country either. What in the fuck??!!

The proper response to this is to violently smash his guitar against the wall, then apologize.

I think Dreamcatcher is the only movie I've seen that left me with my mouth agape with how awful it was. I hadn't read the book and had really high hopes for it, and was just blindsided by it's nonsensical weirdness. I mean, this:

Sorry. I really liked your succinct, "dying while in the middle of typing a post" gag, and wanted to build on it, and that was the first thing that popped in there. I guess I'll go order those Steve Martin comedy tapes after all.

The joke was supposed to be that I was too dumb to know about kd lang, not kd lang is a weirdo. I also knew I was going to have to explain this comment, so why the fuck did I post it?
