You're aces.  This is why I would've wanted a serialized S4.  They made a lot of mistakes in S3, but Shirley they learned from them.  It could've been an amazing season if they had been able to combine the serialization with the happiness of the "Spring" season.

We see Pierce yelling at his dad's grave in Urban Matrimony.  In that episode, he was removed as the CEO of Hawthorne Wipes and is desperate to prove himself as a businessman.  It would be odd to have DEP and then have Pierce go through the events in Urban Matrimony.
