I didn't watch the episode because Boardwalk Empire is far more important but judging from the review whoever wrote it just doesn't care about making The Simpsons not feel dated in a few years. Which to me is an important thing for The Simpsons since this show will be viewed again and again long after any of us are

A character like Richard had to die eventually, to have him live through the whole series would just feel unrealistic. I never expected him to make it past Season 3.

Nope this new design is a fucking travesty and a shoddy ripoff of Pitchfork. It's truly a bitch to find anything on the AV Club anymore.

I think it's safe to assume that this is truly the end. With Season 3 HBO never recognized the statement that it was the final season. This time they said it with almost every advertisement.

I'll agree that the ending was sentimental and yeah it lacks the dark asshole comedy that Eastbound and Down is known for but come on it's the Series Finale. Most finales to comedies are going to be a little corny.

Aww Season 10 thinks it's good. How cute.

Seriously made me shit myself for a second thinking that Statham would be the next Bond.

I'm very sensitive about the character design on cartoons, if I don't like how it looks I'll ignore it. It took me a couple years to get around to watching Bob's Burgers. This Artstyle isn't offensive (like that downright ugly Bordertown cartoon) but it's a little bland. Of course I might have said the same thing

You're thinking that Family Guy can be a show that tells stories. It's not, it's a joke machine and you laugh at it because it's so tasteless.

You know it most certainly is going to be like Futurama: The Comedy Central years, reduced budget leads cheaper show because the VAs won't want to take a paycut except for maybe Seth since he's worth billions.

Kenny's meltdown is pretty much the best damn assault on the commercialization of Christmas I've ever seen. I could see him being able to fix it by explaining that he lost the true meaning of Christmas.

Reddit already has the World Record for largest circle jerk so good for them.

First time I caught this show and I enjoyed it a lot. It basically amounts to a bunch of actors dicking around for an afternoon and it works.

There was a clear message, it's a bit of a joke message for the episode but is a wise kernel of truth nonetheless. Don't be a liar, even if you're certain that the lies will protect others.

I'm wondering who in the country doesn't have Basic Cable yet.

Yeah that blowhard Chris Matthews implied Assad was worse than Hitler for using chemical weapons.

Yeah they also made propaganda pieces encouraging America to attack Syria because Obama wanted it. But whatever.

I don't know, it's a pretty funny joke that any Cable News Network besides maybe CNBC is actual news. I mean could you imagine being so stupid to think MSNBC is quality journalism? Ha.

Wait this ISN'T the episode they were promoting all about that a famous character was going to die on The Simpsons? This is getting really confusing.

I bet you if they just reaired Season 2-8 the ratings would skyrocket.
