Yeah, all those things happen. But is the show still funny and effervescent? It is? Then have a Coke and a smile and shut the fuck up!
(sorry about the cussing… it's a quote.)

SNL garners higher ratings than almost everything else on NBC's weekly primetime schedule. It's routinely their highest-rated non-reality show. So sure, they should probably just tank it.

I loved that ep. The chemistry was really strong for the whole episode.

Weirdo!

"We don't need two stretchy guys."

"We don't need two stretchy guys."

Peck's true area of concern was the unlawful mistreatment of a Non-Repeating Phantasm, also known as a Class-5 Full-Roaming Vapor. Real nasty one, too.

The scene is squicky and uncomfortable, for sure.

Can we have a hand for that fist fight?

Also: Blood Simple!

No one else thinks it's odd to call True Grit a "neo-noir"? Just me? Okey dokey!

Yeah, that's good enough I suppose. I just feel weird Ctrl-F-ing my own name for some reason.

Please let/encourage Oliver to finish Justice League Unlimited!
This is quite a bummer about TVCC, if only in an "end of an era" sort of way. I suppose you guys have covered all of the modern TV canon, but there are plenty of older shows I'd have liked to see.

Last week there was so much unhinged raging about NuDisqus combined with some rollout bugginess that I largely refrained from joining the fray. Plus I hoped that some folks might have some helpful insight or instruction for better use by now.

When I click on a reply, it takes me to a disembodied version of my original comment at the top of the page with just the one reply attached, and no other context. So that's not good. Throw in the lack of a pink background to make my comments stand out, and the whole comments section effectively turns into a big

Oui. Le Disqus Nouveau is tres mal.

Yeah, I'm a Sox fan, and I've never shouted at anyone about it or bragged when they've won or overturned a car or anything. I guess the reputation must be at least somewhat earned, but man — I've read countless thousands of comments over the years about how shitty all Boston fans are, while I just quietly sit there

I notice that the items on the front page all have around a hundred comments or less. It seems to me that the average used to be quite a bit higher.
Is this a NuDisques thing? Is it actively discouraging people from posting?
I know I've cut down. It seems kind of pointless to post anything given how hard it will be to
