The way I justify it to myself is pulled from Maggie Stiefvater's The Dream Thieves (yes it's YA, but it's pretty good): "Just remember that Cabeswater [a magical place] is a video game everyone has been playing a lot longer than you. They all know where to get the level-ups." - the idea that there are rules, but that

I was hoping that instead of splitting Snow's heart in half, they'd use the same logic to give Charming her heart totally. Then Snow would realize she'd be walking around in Storybrooke with no heart, and possibly no chance of getting it back. It might be fun.
Alternatively, present-day Charming could have been Zelena

Every time the first two seasons they mentioned the enchanted wardrobe, my immediate thought was "The Lion, the Witch and???"

I don't think it matters in tournament play, actually. Out of a sense to fairness to all 15 contestants (or in this case, all 45) they get to all the questions through clever editing, etc. Makes you wonder why they can't do that in regular games, but perhaps racing against the clock is half the fun.

The clue didn't mention April, just mentioned that the temps were white-collar and hired over a period of 4 months.

Camelot is dead.
But seriously, hoping against hope over here that Alex swaps out the "giant-killer" rhetoric for a Mordred reference.

Eh, I sort of get it. My thinking is that Alex wasn't giving her a chance to say it again, he was looking to the judges for confirmation of its being wrong, and they weren't giving it fast enough. Meanwhile, Diana got the right answer. Mispronunciations are easier to spot than "oh, could a peptic ulcer reasonably be

Without the Roberts (Carlyle, Kay), I found this difficult to watch. Giggling at Charming's being the Scarecrow, though - not sure why everyone's always so desperate to have him out of a coma.

I took German in high school, and as a result saw a lot of German movies. Goodbye Lenin, The Lives of Others, The Counterfeiters, die Fetten Jahren sind vorbei, Nirgendwo in Afrika, der Schuh des Manitu, Sophie Scholl: the last days, Gloomy Sunday, and das Boot.
Most of the movies I saw for other classes were film

Pan is the best, in that he is the worst and so twisted but he's way more fun than Regina at this point. But was it just me, or was this episode kind of gruesome? Cap'n Jones slitting his wrist with the thorn was not something I needed to see.
(Also, did we ever learn Cap'n Jones' name? My sister called his being Davy

Conspiracy theory time! Pan better be Rumpel's father. Or at the very least his brother. Right? I expect nothing less from this show.
Not a bad episode (Robbie Kay is excellent as many have said above) but I can't wait for them to get out of Neverland to a world where it's not so dark all the time.

yep. He's lost his son twice now so Pan's a viable option.
Although I'd rather have Jared Gilmore be killed off than Robbie Kay.

If it's Thanksgiving, she might not have sent in the application yet. If I recall correctly, most of mine were due on January 1.

Admittedly just done to incorporate Melissa McCarthy's real-life pregnancy, but didn't really show Jackson in his most flattering light.
Even before

I guess Angelo's commitment to nature over nurture just bugs me. Leo and Victor raised Abby for four months but jumped at the chance to be parents to her again. Angelo thought of Daphne as his daughter for three years and spends no time with her now. I get that he's not that connected to Daphne; I just wish he were.

Yeah, I really want to see Bay painting or doing street art again (and Daphne cooking!). I think if she's starting the year without a boyfriend and they're apparently taking their time getting to Emmett, the show will have more than enough room for that. Or hey, they could make her love life a minor storyline, and

Hey, we know from the name of Chef Jeff's girlfriend that they at least read the reviews!

Thanks!
And no, the S2/S3 designation doesn't matter; I just like to have my terminology right.

I was really impressed by that too - restraint on Emmett's part as well as the writers'. Most other teen dramas would have had Bay and Emmett hooking up this episode, but with them staying separate for a while, it reinforces how seriously Bay takes her relationships and how unthinkable cheating is for her.
