Yeah, Children of Men is such a Conservative movie. It totally sided with a British Government that treated refugees as the BNP.
It's more humanist than anything, it criticises both the reactionary "Fishes" and the oppressive government to tell a story about people rather than ideas and how mouthing off incoherently

Cage has always been bat-sgit crazy (see Vampire's Kiss for example) and that's why I love the guy in films. Even films of fail like Wickerman.
