I think you might be selling the "Lenny & the Squigtones" album short. It's quite funny. (Granted, I haven't heard it in about 10 years, but it made me laugh a bunch of times.)
Thanks. It's the name of my late, unlamented blog.
I kinda like Pink ("Blow Me" me was a great single, IMO), but I cannot stand this song. It sounds like the worst kind of Diane Warren assembly-line BS. I mean … I can't get it out of my head, but I hate it.
Any word on "Case Histories," series 2? It aired in the UK last May/June.
"Also, when talking about ["Shiny Happy People"] in 1995 on Space Ghost Coast to Coast Stipe simply stated "I hate that song, Space Ghost." Due to the band's dislike of the song, it was one of their few Warner-released singles not included on their 2003 greatest hits album In Time." —Wikipedia entry on "Shiny Happy…
When is PBS showing series 2 of Jason Isaacs' "Case Histories"? I really liked the first season; the second played on the BBC last May/June.
Yeah, that's how I read it, too.
"(He’s not gay, and backpedals a bit by explaining that that joke is okay because he’s the target of the insult.)"
The sentence you're referring to contains the words "supposedly" and "allegedly." My read was that he thought it was a good story, not that he thought it was true.
Wow. That looks unwatchably terrible.
First album I ever bought: Carole King's "Tapestry."
If memory serves, the only thing the movie uses from Walter Tevis's novel is the title.
Roy Zimmerman's "Christmas is Pain" is another great Dylan spoof.
Not that much. Probably more like 5 to 8 minutes cut. (Not that that's good, but they're not cutting a half hour out.)
OK. Given Masterpiece Mystery opening credits, intros, Mystery closing creditds, and promos for other shows at the end, U.S. broadcast versions are probably missing around … five or six minutes? Seven? Would have to be, to fit in a 90-minute slot.
I've read the U.S. DVDs are uncut, however. (And I'm reasonably sure the versions Netflix streams are also uncut. Hopefully, someone here will confirm.)
Yup—three eps aired in the UK over May and June of this year, one based on a book from the series and two original stories.
Anyone hear when the second season of "Case Histories" is playing in the U.S. on Masterpiece Mystery? I hope it is, anyway. I really liked the first season. The second season aired on the BBC in the spring.
I watched an ep in the first season and it seemed like a total "Malcolm in the Middle" rip-off. But you've talked me into giving this another shot.
