I found "Primer" completely baffling—and I like time travel stories. (A recent fave: The Spanish "Timecrimes.")
Loved this movie as a kid, from TV airings. But on a recent viewing … not so much.
Wow. Wow, wow, wow.
All "The Day After Tomorrow," All The Time!
Ten-star IMDb review, from critic Glenn Eisenberg:
Is there a trailer for this online? I looked on Youtube and couldn't spot it.
@avclub-22ce23196c2ec6eadd651bf0ba7d4d75:disqus Really, it's a lot of fun. Here's a blog post I wrote about it a couple of years ago, with a bunch of clips: http://bit.ly/L2R0Qr
I'll have to look that up. I suspect it's probably the male lead, who I'm sure never worked in film again.
I'd have to say "The Apple" is may favorite in this category. Everything about it is off. And yet, unlike most bad movies, it's deliriously entertaining. The songs, the casting, the choreography, the plotting … good God! (Last time I checked, it was still on Netflix streaming.)
"On a related note, Matthew Weiner is still allowed free reign."
Shatner was kind of a dick to a friend who had to work with him on a book project back in the '80s. I mean, not terrible, but dickish.
Is the show skipping a week? The promo I zipped passed said April 1 on it. HOW CAN I TAKE THE SUSPENSE??
I'm Team Jinkx (perhaps unfairly, in large part because of non-RPDR videos on YouTube of her act). But I wouldn't be upset if Alaska won.
Roxxxy in the top three???? Ugh, I choose to disbelieve, then. (But, if true, I guess the producers didn't want three funny queens in the finale.)
Yeah, aside from the boring feud (or faux feud? I'm not sure) with Coco, Alyssa often cracks me up and I kind of like her. In a weird way, I wouldn't mind her being in the final three, if that didn't bump one of Alaska, Detox or Jinkx, who deserve to be there more than Alyssa.
Could you remind me what the leak was? Tried to find and couldn't.
Yup.
Not in concert, but a sound check: I was waiting outside a venue within Central Park about 20+ years ago to see Richard Thompson. As we were waiting, he did Goffin/King's "Goin' Back" as his sound check. It was unexpected and beautiful and melancholy, partly because he was far away and the sound drifted over the wall,…
Which one of you pledged $10,000? 'Cause that's just crazy.
