I don''t get it.  Settlers of Catan is fun and everyone I know that is aware of the game likes it.

i guess there is a difference between botching a short lived Baseball career and botching the two-term governership of california.

He had a secret love child.

Should works of drama use the real-life audio of private citizens about to die in the midst of a tragedy to goose the emotional stakes of it's story?

Apparently the movie depicts a scene of torture that leads to acquiring the name of a person of interest.  The controversy is over whether or not this happened in real life.  The CIA and films detractors are saying that the information was already in hand, and therefore nothing of note was ever actually gained from

pretty sure these were the first celebrities i ever met.  met them at an industry record release party back in 92 or 93 for their second album.  I remember the copy on the press release read something about "Kriss Kross drops da Bomb!" with a big red picture of a cartoon TNT stick.

Fuck yeah

Fuck yeah

Been stuck in my head since 94

I was curious, because someone told me there is a scene in the movie where torture leads to obtaining the name of a terrorist who, in real life, the CIA already knew about.

The film doesn't manipulate facts to suggest that Americans learned valuable information due to torture?

violence in the "Song of Ice and Fire" book series > violence in "Hostile", "Django" et al  —

If Django is an exploitation movie, then yes, it's possible for exploitation movies to be great.

the internet = the worst

I admit to really disliking the One More Day storyline where Peter makes the deal with Mephisto.  It just struck me as being incredibly out of character for someone like Peter Parker to strike up a deal with the Devil like that.

This issue and Slotts entire run has been SO much fun.  Really loving it and I hope the alamist nerds who flipped out last week have their foot firmly in mouth now.  Good stuff.

Awesome - thanks Tasha!

Whatever movie that screencap is for, I want to see it.

I want just a day to day slice of life drama about the Sawyer clan.  Watching their daily routines when there arent young adults around to massacre.  Do they go food shopping, or just eat what ever varmints are around outside?  Does Leatherface have a LeatherFacebook account?  Do they pay taxes?  I'm really curious.
