I'll second that, the cinema I saw it in had broken air conditioning so it was swealtering and smelt really bad, I thought during the trailers that I was going to have to leave as there was no way I could watch a film in such conditions, but as soon as it started I was utterly absorbed.

I was just going to mention Match of the Day myself, had forgotten about Grandstand but that's another good one - British sports show theme tunes used to be excellent, they've messed with it now but the old snooker theme tune (as glorified by Bill Bailey) was a particular favourite.
