@Anywhere, do we have to pick side now in the civil war or will it be oh fuck it I'm with the replicants.

Yeah the two movies Tom lists up there Cronenberg acts in. Nightbreed he was the psychiatrist that SPOILERS
wears the mask and kills people with blades, and Jason he has a very small role as a, you know he is a doctor of some kind I think but thats all I remember. He is actually pretty fucking awesome in Nightbreed.

Thats funny because I showed this to the woman that would end up being my wife and when she loved the medical parts of it and thought it was interesting I knew she was a keeper. Of course she is, as it turns out, much more into medical oddities and surgery programs than I am.

It is creepy. By not going for lots of overt gore he really suckerpunches you with dread. I love this movie.

Hughes did some odd stuff…
I also found "She's having a baby" to be very underappreciated out of his stuff. If the Brakfast Club was the height of cool for teens at the time (and it was for me) then "She's" was a good little movie about trying to grow up and hold a job that you hate while not being allowed to be a

Christian Bale
Anyone who lapses into "da dada da ditda da" while crushing a man verbally for messing up his scene is awesome. He strikes me as the kind of guy that would be reasonable as the night starts and then just get a little odder with every beer until he's showing you the best way to burn a church down with

I'm going to take the high road and not go for a crude joke here.

I remember a special of his on HBO where he mentioned that you can hunt turtles with a power drill…but you have to be fast or they just spin. I have no idea what the name of it was, although I have no doubt someone here could find it. Also something about attending a church where they believe Jesus slipped and fell to

@The Sacrlet Pimpernickel
"Even less likely that Ossie Davis will make a bravura appearance, since he died in 2005." But he managed to outlive the body of Kennedy man, he can come back from this too! Too soon, or just too tasteless? I kid, I grew up hearing him on Evening Shade and came to love his work as I got older.

Shoulder pads!
I don't care about anything else in these clips, the shoulder pads in Cage's coat are the true star. It could only have been better if he was also sporting a pair or Z Cavvarichi pants rolled tight.

Last I heard no, Bruce walked away clean from it and wished them the best of luck. He said it just wasn't for him, something about it wan't right and he wanted no hard feelings between him and Coscarello. I have no idea if I spelled that man's last name right.

@Switters
It might have been off topic but I just read the whole thing and man is that sweet. Thanks for posting that. I have read shit about those guys for over a year now and to see them stripped down and have their internet tough guy facade pulled back is great.

@Anywhere I lay my head.
Is there something wrong with me if I have no desire to do anything with Zooey Deschanel(sic)? She just rubs me the wrong way, no pun intended. However her sister on "Bones" looks quite fetching though. So yes, this does mean I would orgasm on her face. Sorry to be so vulgar. I must go repent

@ Anywhere I lay my head
I hear they were Nexus 5 models. They were later surpassed but the height of reality when the movie was made. Also, nice avatar. Kudos on not using a catwoman costume.

@Penguin You wonderful son of a bitch you stole my only contribution to this thread. I came here just to make that comment.

Well there is another trend in co-workers and peripheral friends too, those that only know the hype on something being translated into a movie and try to talk to you about it like they read the book for 20 years. That one annoys me as much as people looking down on someone for reading comics or the aforementioned

Insert witty thing about your post having that word in it here. Now that's out of the way. I also don't know about that one as an initial read, very dense. Great, but good lord is that thing daunting to someone who never read a comic before.

The title of this article is baiting btw
But the Batman story above is great. I would recommend Enemy Ace War Idyl to someone that has never read a comic before if you want to show them an artistic approach to a non super character, that one has made people I know rethink the "comics are for kids" thing.

@Warren Oates I had a friend who when his child was born put the message "The goggles, they do nothing!" on the message board outside of their hospital room. We were the only people who found it funny.

@teh dude, wonderful avatar
