Jimmy Carter and the Pet Rock.

Everyone made the 80s their bitch. Reagan spent the entire decade flying over America dumping coke and $100 bills on all of his beautiful children. Truly an awful decade.

I actually found that movie so forgettable that I watched it a second time and didn't realize until about 90 minutes in that I'd already seen it. Not egregiously bad, just completely forgettable. It was like the Men in Black didn't want me to know I'd seen it.

There's something wrong with my eyeballs. They're telling me that Gary Oldman is in this thing.

Yeah, between Fringe ending and Alphas not getting renewed, I'll cling to any sci-fi I can get. Bring on the Lost in Space reboot!

Knee it in the crotch!

Han in that picture: "Hey Luke… Wanna find out what Leia smells like?"

In my brief experience with the AVC, the answer to every single For Our Consideration is "Fucking duh."

You're going to be in the minority around these parts, but I'm not a Buffy fan either. Maybe I just didn't give it a fair shake, but I really found the snappy banter off-putting. It was like a 30s comedy (which I like) repackaged with a bunch of privileged teenagers (which I detest).

How many episode titles of that show were questions? I'm guessing it was a lot.

When it comes to the AV Club, non-participants are the real winners.

I like the show, so I'm not going to bag on it to defend the movie, but the movie was actually kind of perfect. When a movie can introduce you to roughly a dozen characters and make you care about basically all of them, they're doing something right. So many funny, touching moments that were born of honest bitterness.

What hilarious angle will SNL take on Hunger Games? Will they make fun of all the crazy hair styles? Will Catniss run out of arrows and be forced to use some comical replacement weapon? Will they all be fat and participate the "Not Hungry Games"? [girlish scream] I can't wait!

The song none of us can hear from Pootie Tang. I don't think I even watched the entire movie, but that was pretty damn funny.

I concur. 4 goddamn shows on TV I really like and here comes this news just as Fringe is wrapping up. Fuck, I'm gonna have to take up jogging or needle drugs.

"You want the volume pumped up?! You can't handle the volume pumped up!" or "Wendy… Give me the pumped up volume, Wendy."

To me good parody works even if you aren't aware of the source. I've never seen one second of Degrassi and still found that sketch quite enjoyable. Then again, I hate Canadians.

Well if you're gonna start evaluating performers based on performance we're going to have to restructure this entire site.

Don't you know anything? Comedy isn't supposed to make you laugh.

The humorous answer is he's my former lover. The real answer is "It's gotta be something."
