Françoise Hardy, or, if you like a little English language mixed in with your Ye-ye, try the recorded works of April March.  Specifically the CHICK HABIT album.  You won't be disappointed.

It might be New Canaan, but something tells me it's probably Westport or Darien CT where Trudy and Pete ended up.  Both places are a bit farther away from NYC, and both (Westport especially back then) were more likely to draw execs from the "creative" industries.

Granite looks nicer, and ages better than pretty much any other counter surface.  And it won't melt or burn if you put a hot pan or tray on it.  Some folks also cut directly on their counter tops - another plus for granite.

Ray Salyer made such an impression with this film that he actually got a bunch of offers from Hollywood studio execs to do more films.  He passed on all of them, saying it would eat into his drinking time.
