Why? Cutting the pizza into squares means more pieces to share!

Completely agree. JOURNEY THOUGH THE SECRET LIFE OF PLANTS landed with such a thud after that incredible run starting with MUSIC OF MY MIND through SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE that people rightly wondered (no pun) what the hell had happened to Stevie. HOTTER THAN JULY absolutely belongs in his pantheon.

Indeed. Champagne is a wonderful drink.

Beth's had a decent career. Two classic albums -TRAILER PARK and CENTRAL RESERVATION - to her credit. And she's been on major label contracts and toured enough that I think she's gotten by without having a huge hit. But I see your point for sure.

It clearly says "history". If it was for the ladies, it would be "HERstory", am I right???!?

We New Yorkers really have no idea how good we have it. Yes, the subway is terrible, but compared to other major cities' mass transit systems, it works incredibly well.

He wasn't.

It's on Greenwood Avenue - where it's been for something like 50 years.

How many times did you eat at the Sycamore? Homemade root beer!!

My favorite album from The Blue Nile is A WALK ACROSS THE ROOFTOPS. "Tinseltown In The Rain" is beautiful.

Judging by the trailers, I think we'll be waiting a pretty long while before we can watch this on Netflix. There's an Amazon Studios logo right at the top, so it'll be on Prime before anywhere else.

I'm an old, and have become quite forgetful in my dotage. So I'll have to estimate:

I'm getting more of a Wilson Phillips vibe than Hanson. But whatev.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - screw that idiot from Wisconsin. THIS is the only Scott Walker we should be considering:

Well, that's true to a point: some Hungarians CAN be bohemians, but they can't ethnically be Bohemians.

How "not thin"? Sean Spicer-esque?

Same reason why he is always scowling - he thinks it makes him look more statesman-like. A la Churchill.

Saw this at Telluride. Sorry to disappoint everyone in the commentariat here, but it really IS a charming film.

I'm an old too, and I saw a lot of these acts as well. Talking Heads at the old Forest Hills Tennis Stadium (the summer before SMS), where David Byrne ran laps around the stage; Elvis and the Attractions at the Bridgeport CT jai alai fronton (Imperial Bedroom tour, they played for about three hours and killed it);

I always suggest LIVE FROM THE GRAND OPERA HOUSE BELFAST to those Van Morrison fans who only know songs from "classic rock" stations. It's a pretty compelling set of material from the lesser known and under-appreciated Warner Bros. years. His live band kicked ass too.
