Definitely not just a Southern thing.

Judging from this thread, we are from just about everywhere but the east coast. I'm Californian, and I've seen midwesterners and southerners agree.

But got and bought rhyme…

I think that's mostly the Kardashians fault.

You could call the U.S. Treasury Aaron Burr with the way they're dropping Hamilton.

Same. I literally cannot imagine how you could pronounce those differently.

I actually read this yesterday. As someone who has lived in California her entire life, I agree with the "cot"/"caught" thing and frankly don't even understand how you would pronounce it differently. However, I don't know what she's talking about in the below.

I'm definitely not into the single flashbacks for multiple characters thing. One flashback just doesn't give you enough about the character, so they all end up feeling thin.

Yeah, I was really disappointed that they went with the cliched tiger mom route. Hopefully her inevitable flashback episode next season will have more nuance.

I've been rooting for Poussey and Soso to get together for a few episodes now and was probably annoyingly triumphant when they were shown holding hands.

Agreed about the Gerber baby thing. I mean, yeah maybe it is the most interesting thing that will happen in his life. But it's already happened. He has enough for bar stories.

Thank you for that last sentence, because that is legitimately the reason why I clicked this link.

I'll give you Piper, but Ruby Rose is pretty stunning. Maritza wins against all of them, though.

Oh, like he can afford the westside.

Bad taste and horrible timing, but the fact that their plan included wonder bread, burgers with mayonnaise, and showing clips of Seinfeld and Friends is actually kinda funny.

Welp, that's going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day. No regrets.

I read the sequel (my mom was an elementary school librarian, so it was rare to miss things). It follows X-Ray's post Green Lake life. I recall a plot about scalping. It's pretty forgettable, especially compared to Holes.

You should give the books a chance. It's been long enough that it shouldn't ruin the movie for you or anything, and the series holds up well for adults. They're pretty quick reads too.

I will never forgive The Series of Unfortunate Events movie. I'm still holding out hope that Netflix will get Bryan Fuller attached to the reboot series. Someone here made that suggestion before there were talks of a series, and now I can't get the thought out of my head.

I'm a Pez fan too! Well, not the candy so much, but I have over 200 of the dispensers.
