My dad hates Steely Dan.
My dad hates Steely Dan.
I don't know what The Rocketeer is and quite enjoyed the first Captain America.
As have I. It's actually been pretty useful.
My mom just turned 64 so I get that same feeling. She was older when she had me too, so she'll be nearly 70 by the time I'm 30, which doesn't seem fair. Her dad died of pancreatic cancer long before I was born, and I believe he was only in his 60s. But her mom, my beloved grandma, lived to 87, so I just hope my mom…
This was one of those where I softly said, "Oh nooo," out loud when I read the headline.
I had friends who watched it at the time, but no one I kept in touch with. But we did once do our own Great Pretenders contest at a sleepover. I believe I was the Gwen Stefani half of Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" and wore jeans and the top of a bathing suit. Thank god social media and youtube didn't exist yet.
Okay, I read through all the comments and no one else seems to have mentioned the Great Pretenders reference. But I used to watch that show all the time and no one ever seems to know what I'm talking about when I mentioned it. LaToya, are you and I somehow the only people who remember the magic of a children's…
She'd be a Slytherin and you know it.
Oh, the Edison is awesome! Never been for New Years though, because who wants to drive downtown on a holiday when you live on the west side?
It's hard when we're one of the last to celebrate. But I've never gone out for New Years in L.A., always went to house parties. WeHo might have something like they do for Halloween.
It's how I pictured the Dementors in Harry Potter before the movies came out.
I have watched this movie dozens of times and never have I figured out the line that comes after that.
God, I hate those kind of insults. Sports fans are super guilty of it. Oh man, Gnats instead of Giants? You sure took away the feeling of winning three World Series titles in five years. Haha Arizona D-Bags! That'll show them! SO CLEVER.
I will add it to my lengthy list. I'm still working my way through The Wire!
I thought so, because for a second I thought it was Scarlett Johansson, which also happened when I first saw that Misfits episode.
No, but I had to pee like 10 minutes into Boyhood and loved the movie so much that it wasn't too distracting. But I sure as hell ran to the bathroom as soon as it was over.
I know nothing about Black Mirror, but is the girl in that picture that chick from Misfits whose power was making everyone basically act like Mormons and other more important, but very spoilery things?
Yes, they played it in order. Well, almost. They played it in order, but played a couple of songs off of …Was A Real Boy before closing with "Admit It!!!" Saves The Day did Through With Being Cool as well, but that album is shorter so they played a handful of songs after that as well.
Best of luck with those business transactions!
Came here to say that. It's the first movie we watched in film school and I loved it. I haven't been able to find it anywhere though.
