It definitely is mine. It's a quietly unsettling film, and beautiful in every way. Plus, it has my favorite David Bowie performance.
I think Jonathan helps him along in that area. Certainly, the scripts they wrote together are a lot more streamlined, like The Prestige.
I actually think he's very exposition-heavy, and sometimes awkwardly so. He's not a very good writer, but he can obscure that with good direction and great work with actors.

See, it's the documentary fashion that I like. Since a lot of his work involves fantastical or science fiction elements, I like the very matter of fact manner in which he treats them. I think it's largely where his interest in practical effects comes from, too.
