I agree with most of your points, and you shined a light on things I had in the back of my mind about it, but I still think highly of the film and have really enjoyed it. The naturalism, the acting, the emotions… this movie may not have won my mind, but it has won my heart.

"Not so wild about this Jamaican Rachael MacFarlane song…"
I thought it was a pretty funny subversion of X-Mas specials involving family values (which I know you realize), given extra weight because it was a plot-point - the whole reason Stan's dad went to save Steve was because the family members go "bing bong, bun

Disagree, I haven't been enjoying this season at all. ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

I thought this episode wasn't very good - didn't like the gimmick, and thought it was executed poorly (by the writers), except for maybe in one spot: The speech Lily gave to Robin regarding the cake - it moved me almost to tears. That was the one story I did like out of the three.

Oh God the Lance Riddick episode was the best.

This Lizzy Caplan appearence made me wish she was in comedy instead of doing Masters of Sex, as good a drama as it is.

A low A- overall. Really enjoyed it, especially Rafi.

Agreed - the poor execution being due to a large portion of jokes that have already been done, were just stupid or predictable as all fuck, or were repetitively based on Dale's stupidity (though some of those were great, don't get me wrong) . The concept was indeed quite clever and unique.

Oh, yeah. I was skipping through but kept the volume on. Rookie mistake.

SO FULL OF BUTTS

Yeah, Aidy has that problem where she can't stop smiling, no matter how upset her character is supposed to be. (Sometimes Keenan's like that too.)

Okay so let's talk about the season as a whole for a bit. I think it was, like someone else in this thread said, the weakest of them all. I feel it had some real duds, several decent episodes, and only 3 or 4 very good ones (the finale, the wedding episode, and a couple of others that slip my mind right now.)

Classic unnamed ABC executive.

I think Andre made me laugh the most throughout the series, and I'm surprised no one else ranked him as their favorite. So, my reason for ranking him number 1 is different than yours - I just find his lameness to be so over the top and Paul Scheer just sells it amazingly.

I loved the gag of him "turning around and seeing a girl he likes", him making a horrified face. Good joke, and well acted by the actor.

Larry appearing at the right time made me laugh. He's a star. Otherwise, not a very good episode indeed.

Seems like you all liked it. I thought it wasn't funny at all.

Longest 21 minutes of my life.

Hoping for the finale special review. Will try to start up a discussion here in the mean time: Frankly, I was pretty disappointed. It didn't make me laugh a lot, and I wasn't a huge fan of the meta/4th wall breakeage stuff, though I suppose it was kinda cool. The Moss-wearing-women's-slacks business was awesome,

She's not that hard on the eyes, either. I would slit my wife's throat to be with her.
