You mean the Ghost of Quality Past?

"And the janitor just mopped, so he's standing next to a sign that says 'Slippery When Wet.'"

Oh, wow, that episode is classic. It never slows down, which is essential to that kind of farce.

The thing I liked most about all the stuff being stolen from Ted is that, unlike a lot of HIMYM's other "hitherto unseen" mythology gags, this one actually makes sense, since all of the stuff is missing and Ted would be reluctant to assert himself and ask for it back (or had forgotten about it).

I certainly don't mind things being dated. The floppy disc thing was a really fun moment. It reminded me of all kinds of things I'd mostly forgotten about.

I still have that song stuck in my head.

Floppy discs! Oh, man, I remember those. I wonder if they would have dated the episode as much back in the original run, where the "when" of Batman was a little tougher to pin down (what with police dirigibles, art deco buildings, and talking computers side-by-side).

I guess it's easier than facing the truth that they humiliated themselves and others for the sake of a series of poorly-conceived/executed rape jokes and acknowledging that they should feel deep shame and regret for their actions. (And additional shame for dragging Wilder's good name into it/)

That's a really great link. Thanks for sharing it.
