Nathan, I've really enjoyed your writing here tremendously. You're a damn funny writer and someone who's really good at dissecting the orphans of the film world. I'll also have a soft spot for being one of the writers I got to meet while on the book tour for your first memoir. I might not have said a huge amount to

For The Purge question, maybe it involves killing off the vast majority of job seekers on the night of crime. If there's very few people alive seeking jobs, low unemployment rate ahoy!

At the very least, they're letting the licence for Nickelodeon shows expire at the end of next month, which would include Avatar. They could try and keep Avatar and other shows individually, but I don't think it's worth the chance.

This really is the darkest timeline. And in this case, I mean it both as a reference to Community and as a genuine feeling of sadness. I can only hope that the new project takes off soon and will be of similar quality as this fine website.

It's going to be about Universal Horror monster running about a typical fantasy world and the players were flung together by a wizard needing to stop Dr. Frankenstein. A little unconventional, but then, I've also played a game run by a player DMing for the first time where Teletubbies were the enemies.

Now they are. It just took awhile. It's because of this that I initially posted my post in the Inventory section, because I wasn't sure if they were getting rid of this posting. Which would be kind of stupid, since this page generates a ton of hits each weeks, so that'd be an unwise decision to get rid of something

This will almost certainly be a bit shorter than normal, both because I didn't do a huge amount this week but also because I'm feeling quite a bit tired tonight. I did go on a date with someone on Tuesday, which I personally enjoyed, but she personally didn't think we clicked. A bit disappointing, but there's only so

EDIT: Just deleting this, since I just posted here out of unnecessary worrying about the state of Tell Us About Your Pop Culture Weekend. Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. Real life polygamous encounters. Go!

Such a great novel, from which we get the amazing "You are what you pretend to be" quote, which is always good to pull out when applicable.

@Meander061:disqus Although, in that case, it was actually a cover song, and thus another group singing about being a stalker.

I wonder if you're allowed to request hazard pay for willing to review two very obvious turkeys in the same week.

Yup, he was big part of my childhood, although not for Highlander. Mr. Krabs from Spongebob, Cortex from Crash Bandicoot, Lex Luthor from the animated Superman, and Brother Justin from Carnivale: all things I enjoyed tremendously growing up.

@avclub-85b0faa88b92483cbe957df7eb9602cd:disqus Normally, I'd agree with your second paragraph. However, when it involves a channel seemingly giving more sympathy to men who were pronounced guilty of rape rather than the victim, it's hard not to feel a bit angered at them.

I know better to respond, and I know for a fact that you're going to reply to this and curse me out anyway, but the fact that you're replying to this after a few people have already responded proves that at least a few people give a fuck. So, just skip me if you don't give a fuck; no need to write it out since I'm not

To be fair, the fact that I'm seeing the Alvin Ailey Dance Company does disqualify it from being the absolute most depressing. There's sure to be a few more which are pure misery.

I actually get it right now. I've seen a few Babylon 5 episodes already and have encountered that Bester. It wasn't until recently that they shared first names as well, which makes it great. Him, Londo, and G'Kar were my favorite characters of the episodes I watched.

That would be a great choice. Mother Night is also a really excellent read, but Cat's Cradle is unbelievably amazing and packed with so many interesting ideas.

I did get that, but I've already decided against watching it since the general consensus is that it is really, really bad. I mean, I've seen a few Babylon 5 episodes enough that I don't necessarily need to watch the pilot movie to get filled in on everything.

That is a really nice ring, well worth even just regular bragging.

Well, this week wasn't too eventful. I did manage to have a bit of an online conversation with someone I was interested, in spite of the fact that I wasn't her type physically. However, she told me just last night that she didn't think we were compatible people and thus ends that relationship before it began. Luckily,
