Ah, caught this late. However, my praise still stands and now I'll just amend it to say that I'm happy that you're still reviewing for the A.V. Club, since you're still one of the ace reviewers here.

This is reminding me of the Guy Delise comic Pyongyang, only even more self-centered and magnitudes less revealing about the culture.

Change is already afoot in the movie reviews. I will say that you did a fine job, Aaron, with your first major review. Easy to read style, gives a very clear sense of what the film is like, and both confirms and dispels some of my beliefs from the never ending torrents of seeing that damn trailer over and over. Nice

In spite of my fretting from earlier this week, I'm still willing to give the benefit of the doubt to Mr. Dowd. So welcome. You have some big shoes to fill, but I wish you the best in filling them and to reading your work.

I saw this when it was at the IFC Center last year. It's one of the saddest and simultaneously greatest documentaries I've seen. Definitely needs to be seen, although I'll understand people not wanting to see it due to reasoning like that of  @avclub-808e22af6c33eea22608f30cef458844:disqus

Damn, I'm disappointed that I didn't try the burger at Spotted Pig. Is that only at lunch time? Because the other food there was really amazing. Also, do you mean Gramercy Tavern or is there a place called Gramercy Terrace?

Check out the last New Cult Cannon and you'll see the announcement there.

I'm definitely not one to be pessimistic for long. While there are days where I do feel a great amount of disappointment, I still am always one who'd rather be optimistic about things than think the worse.

This week was mix of very high and low emotions. On the positive side of things, I had a very good work week in which an application I assembled for my department for accreditation of Grand Rounds talks was submitted on Tuesday and then immediately accepted the next day. And I found out that the huge section of a

@dmikester:disqus See my advice above to Guest if you want to try and view it without commercials.

Middle of last year, he departed as Music Editor for going to Grantland. And his final piece on We're No. 1, on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, appears to be his final A.V. Club article. His Grantland pieces have been pretty good.

@avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus Well, I don't know if they could get away with writing an episode dealing with who cleans up the jizz in the holodeck. And an extensive episode explaining the intricacies of Federation economics would probably bore a large amount of the audience.

Very, very true. Any type of writing based industry, be it magazines, newspapers, or comics, has a huge turnover in terms of writers. It's just very easy to forget that with The A.V. Club, which has had one of the most remarkably stable writing crew up until just about last year. I guess I always knew that change

Fuck. Just holy fuck. First the loss of Hyden, then Keith, now Scott. I'm getting quite a bit worried now about what this site is going to turn into. So many great people are leaving and I'm not entirely sure that there will be as many great ones to replace them. Hopefully, Noel, Todd, Sean, and Zack will still be

Not a top 40 hit though. Highest position it got was 68.

Going solely by the Billboard charts, either is acceptable, as both of those songs are the only other top 40 hits that Plain White T's had, although 1,2,3,4 was a bit higher than Rhythm Of Love. Not by much though, only 34 vs. 38. And neither touch Deliliah, which was the only number 1 hit they had.

Why not go and see it at the IFC Center? This should be one of the advantages of living in NYC, the ability to see all these cool films before everywhere else. And, as I said in the Week in Pop Culture thread, I feel that it's suitably cinematic enough to warrant being seen in theaters.

I'm not too worried about this type of date. I do usually think that, when I do have a phone conversation, I do have a really good rapport that I can build up with another person, which sometimes is even better than in person. Personally, I'm glad that she was interested in doing it, since it will be a little better

This was a pretty good week for me. The trivia event that I went to on Monday was pretty fun, even though the team I was on didn't win and I didn't meet the love of my life. I did meet some cool women, though, and I also was responsible for getting the question of who played Boo Radley in To Kill A Mockingbird correct

It is a great example of Odo just being an utter dick, which I loved so much.
