My first official week at work has happened. I'm genuinely happy with how things are going with it. I'm fine with the work itself and my coworkers are pretty damn good people. So, I'm definitely happy with how things are going. Only now, my pop culture week is definite more of a weekend.

Shorter than usual from me, as I lost so much energy from watching all of the Academy Awards and have to go to sleep earlier than I used to due to my job. However, I did want to fill in that Mount Sinai did treat me quite well for the first week. I didn't do a huge amount, given that there's a ton of stuff I still

I'd say that Adam isn't too far behind in terms of interesting guy characters on Girls, but Ray is definitely my favorite character on that show, helped by the fact that his character is paired up with my favorite of the three girls. I genuinely quite enjoy Karpovsky's performance a lot and I definitely hope that this

I think, given the evidence of the DS9 episode where Bashir plays at being James Bond, that he could be a fun action hero. Certainly, he's aging well enough that it wouldn't look as ridiculous as some of the other ones.

I feel like there should be a new rule for the A.V. Club stating that every time a film has a twist ending, it automatically gets a Spoiler Space.

If you're using Chrome, like I have, you have to restart the whole video again and then it plays all the way through.

@avclub-14072b2ff783182847122db384e8863f:disqus Pretty much. This grandma that I saw on Sunday lives the furthest away out of the three and it's still just a bit over a half hour or so to there. The other two take even less time.

@avclub-14072b2ff783182847122db384e8863f:disqus Well, the grandpa that was her husband died two summers ago, so that's something. Due to the divorce of my dad's parents, I had six grandparents. Since I've been alive, three have passed away, leaving just my mom's mom and both of my dad's original parents both alive and

There's your lesson right there then. Just write everything in all caps, instant fame and glory.

Congrats on having the new job so soon! That definitely takes away the sting from being laid off. I wish you the best and here's to hoping that your new job is as good or better than the one you're ending.

Congrats on also starting a job this week! I hope it goes very well for you. It really is a great feeling when you're told that you've actually gotten a job.

Nominees or winners, yes.

Ah, that also explains the last question about why his Saturday morning show was cancelled. And why it likely doesn't appear on IMDB for McCarthy and Spencer.

So, this was the final care free week for me. Starting on Tuesday with my orientation day, I officially begin working at Mount Sinai Hospital and begin a new chapter of my life. I'm honestly really excited for this. It's a bit scary in the sense that this is one of the more explicit ways of me becoming an adult and

@avclub-33807fbc68d335db8080d3c10cb78822:disqus Truth be told, that applies to nearly every event that Parks & Rec does. They didn't hype the April/Andy wedding, they didn't hype the proposal. The only one that might count could be the Harvest Festival, but that was built into the narrative and it's not like many

@avclub-e88a8d6ff9657f312bc65d45f821f6af:disqus To be fair, just because you know someone's in a film doesn't mean you've seen the film. He might've just seen a poster that stuck with him.

I'm just amused that the one wide release film that wasn't screened for critics this week actually got the best reviews for this week. Not particularly great, but passable compared to Safe Haven or A Good Day To Die Hard. Maybe The Weinstein Co. should have reconsidered their strategy.

According to the all knowing Wikipedia, the show was cancelled, but new episodes will still be airing until May.

@avclub-573185e7a57bcdcd68d7895cf83ffe66:disqus I could watch it online, true, but as someone who sees a lot of movies, I always prefer to give an opportunity to see them in theaters first. Especially for films I'm actually anticipating, where it just feels better seeing it on a big screen instead of on my laptop

@avclub-6b8aa777ed70e7f15a45947a0f0c5986:disqus The same thing happened with me! And because they stuck in this trailer, that meant that we didn't get the trailer for Man Of Steel. Complete BS in my opinion.
