In this case, it just means that both films have completely bonkers endings.
@avclub-f8665a36d5a911922da81a12443887ed:disqus He is set to be starring as Zorro in Zorro Reborn, so that might bring him more attention. Also, according to his profile in NY Magazine, he seems to really prefer just being in films that mean something to him. In fact, a direct quote: "I've had the fortune of…
According to a profile I read in NY Magazine, although Bernal is Mexican, he apparently was able to do a flawless version of Chilean accented Spanish, without even getting help from accent coaches. In fact, he was told to tone it down a bit, as the guy he was playing had spent time in Mexico. I couldn't verify this…
Anyone up for spoiling the ending on this? Just curious how abruptly this film ends.
Well, then the Beautiful Creatures review awaits you!
Wow. Just wow. I'm honestly shocked at how stupid this sounds. I'd almost want to go to see this if I knew that the audience would just let out one collective groan when that revelation comes out.
Not particularly, no.
Sparks' thought process: "Why's that Cormac McCarthy get all the acclaim? He doesn't even know how to use quotation marks! How are people going to know how to read what the characters are saying if you don't have the proper marks? And where's the love story? Where's the cancer?"
Hmmm, to ironically grade this an A or not? Tricky, tricky decision.
Tasha, you mentioned that the book actually explains why the female casters can't choose whether they're good or evil. Do you mind going into why that is? Also, are the basic elements of the book's ending in the film here and just muddled up a bunch, or does the film take a lot of liberties?
Yeah, turns out that even ripping out your mother's soul needs to be done in a coherent manner to be effective. Or it needs to be done while spinning around at dinner time.
I'm needlessly amused every time I've seen the trailer for this and it gets to the part where the dinner table is spinning around and everyone's yelling at each other to get off it. Not enough to actually watch the film, mind you, but you take your amusements where you can get them.
Does anyone know if the script for this was an action script lying around that later got turned into a Die Hard film later? I know that this happened with films 3 and 4, and that's probably a big reason for the change in the John McClane character. He's merely a template for big explosions to happen.
At least it's gone up from 0%. Admittedly, only up to 10%, but still.
Reason: Not enough dick talk.
A man who looked for love in all the wrong places and wound up with a fake online girlfriend.
For all I know, it may end up being one and the same.
@avclub-b0dae075785888267fc19871f3e7dab7:disqus Yup, it is indeed. The speed dating is there every so often, but the nerd nite is about every month.
The lectures for that night did seem pretty cool. One was about making documentaries and would include clips from the guy's documentary of guys bending steel, the second was about African music, and the last would've been about using songs as educational tools. All appeared like they would've been quite interesting.…
