And to think, her career could've been avoided had one Mr. Adam Sandler not cast her as a lesbian in anger management for Anger Management, we might not have seen the career of January Jones.
@avclub-9c75bab0f5d964591655e73e7c22c540:disqus At the very least, it is getting a release in NY at the Angelika Film Center. However, the distributor is a pretty small scale one, the Cinema Guild, so whether or not it expands much further is really up in the air.
I remember catching lots of Rocky and Bullwinkle early on Nickelodeon. Such a great show! I actually got my favorite aunt and uncle to watch a tape of it with me and it was definitely a good example of a show which held up across the generations.
@avclub-b85d65c39e12a5515c19fd72b6f48199:disqus And they didn't even do all that particularly good a job at that. The trailers for John Carter weren't all that exciting on the whole. I mainly wanted to see it because I dig sci-fi adventure stories and because Wall-E is just an amazing film. If I had no real conceived…
Friday: I saw an Off Broadway show at Playwrights Horizons called The Big Meal. The one pop culture thing I can say definitively that it has a connection to is the fact that it has Liz Lemon's mom as one of the actors. It was a really good, very moving play. It could be seen as a bit gimmicky, with three men, three…
It's a recent addition for films which have a particularly noteworthy ending or some aspect about the end which is worth talking about. Especially worth it for films with some kind of twist at the end. Or, with the introduction to this feature, who, out of Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, is worthy of Reese Witherspoon's…
This is definitely a time when I'm happy Spoiler Space exists. It makes it definitive that films I have no desire to ever see will remain unseen. Especially when molestation and child porn is brought in.
@avclub-43c2872b929f4e64e31828b133b59105:disqus Holy shit! So this is the major star you said might be receptive to the idea of a Random Roles? Damn! If you get that, it will be one of the most amazing interviews of all time. And this by itself was pretty damn cool!
@avclub-173af0430bc192b8a027af7cdba82cd7:disqus Miami? Really? I would've thought a more likely home would be San Francisco. Which, to be fair, I'd also be sad to see go, although, due to earthquake liklihood, that seems likely to happen.
Well, not willingly. And if they do, then they would just mention how much better NY is to wherever they settled, especially if it's NJ.
Whither NPR?
A weak link that's the most successful show for ABC in both viewers and ratings. I'd love to have that as a wink link.
@avclub-f4c079d9bc18a6928879f71f17878b7c:disqus I thought Brandon Lee did die because of blanks that were just shot at really, really close range.
@avclub-b6faaff41560efbdefb1687a06a4c57b:disqus Well, the main way that TVBtN tries to argue against that is to mostly claim that any claims made by the networks like CBS that 18-49 is highlighting PR friendly highlights when the reality is that only 18-49 matters. It admittedly is a very weak defense, especially…
It does look really cool. However, I did find it hard to read after Aaron Paul's name popped up just because there was just so much going on that I couldn't figure out where to place my eyes to see the names.
With that Tom Cruise story, I have to wonder: were they able to get ice cream? Or were there just too many gay people around?
@avclub-a2bd92a4b5b334a8ad8d381dd31bd4c5:disqus I also want to second The Discovery Of A World Inside The Moone. Much more easier to get into, has a lot of really fun songs. Also, for a single song, I really love Rainfall. The album it's from, Velocity Of Sound, is much maligned, but Rainfall's a really great burst…
I'm actually surprised that this got a good review. From what I had read awhile back on an Indiewire article, it sounded like the distributor had taken over the oversight for the film and changed it significantly from what the Sprechters had intended in order to make it a bit more sellable.
@avclub-22eda830d1051274a2581d6466c06e6c:disqus Longer than the average review.
