Do you just cut and paste these from your journal?

So you do know how to use the shift key.

@avclub-ae75b895689d74f9c5a1baae54ff8a4a:disqus  His attempting to punch out Jim made sense and I kind of think Jim sort of deserved it. He did after all destroy the guys supposedly happy relationship.

Certainly not after S3. God damn Hangover movies!

The shuffling zombie bit he does as Michael drives away made me laugh in a season that was pretty devoid of them.

"There is a downside to what “Valentine’s Day” introduces, however,
and it’s the absolute pileup of romantic storylines that begins in
earnest with the episode."

After the poorly plotted and stupidly resolved Pratt story, she was basically reduced to having kids as a character.

His rage explosion in S3 in the bar made me wonder how many times he might have slapped Pam around. I hated that turn.

The way she cuts her eyes away from Jim as she tells him she's "fine with my choices!" tells us everything we need to know.

In the commentary, Mike Schur says that filming in NYC with Steve Carell was tough, but trying to film Conan was almost impossible.

"Dammit, Michael!"

"Although he is a tool."

You're sort of refuting your original argument here. Season 2 is definitely in the classic category.

But the cheap gags weren't even funny. Making him an idiot added nothing to the show.

The left side of my brain wants to disagree with you, but the right side is nodding my head.

The "bang Holly" quip was before they decided he was actually mentally challenged. Which is why that whole bit worked. That they decided to just write him as an idiot after that is a decision that can never be explained.

Yeah, Season 6 was the point when I realized they had lost what had made the show so good early on. The early episodes of Jim as co-manager which, in retrospect, lead to absolutely nothing, followed by the Sabre merger and Michael's affair with the bar manager all failed in almost every way.It really is only

This scene and the one coming up in Boys and Girls where Pam and Jim fight over her not taking the internship are both great for her.

This is still my favorite one-liner of the entire show.

While it might be possible to enjoy Scott's Tots for Michael's story, the Jim as idiot manager story sends it far too over the top for me.
