His under-his-breath groan is perfect.
His under-his-breath groan is perfect.
You may not be the only one, but there were a bunch of us who thought the Andy/Erin stuff was the biggest waste of time the show ever produced. It was a story based on two characters with no real established personalities, performed by two actors who had no chemistry, that lasted for three and half seasons of…
"well, the joke Jim decides to tell him instead"
I think you have to go back to Season 6, if not earlier, as the beginning of the slide. "Mafia" for instance.
@avclub-3e9e0f1010418374c3dd9ccf3b0ed27c:disqus Well, he also supported her efforts in art, but I'm wondering about something. What else should he have done? What steps take him out of the "nice guy" stereotype and make his interest in Pam legitimate? Maybe tell her that he was in love with her?
And is overly impressed with his comedic skills.
@avclub-472d722b57a4ed37e41e70c9c9d7d0f3:disqus Well, I'm happy to hear you're a perpetually deceived man-child then. Your parents must be proud.
While Jenna Fischer is far more attractive than a real life Pam, she did attract her share of male attention (Toby, Creed, Kevin, Packer all displayed some level of interest over the seasons) and Jim did far more than just be "nice" to her as a way of demonstrating his interest.
Talking to yourself again? There's medication for that.
@avclub-043a5755513643c7f4a9cd35380ec33e:disqus So what you're saying is that no show's cliffhangers can ever be discussed because somewhere there is one person who may not have seen it? I think bank robbery has a shorter statute of limitations.
I wish they had stuck to that rule in the later seasons of The Office.
Still cornering the market in wrong I see.
Disagreement duly noted.
"I think you're thinking of The Hunt for Red October." I love snarky Pam.
And I still don't understand why they did that. In fact, when I rewatch S2, I always watch The Injury right after Christmas Party.
While I liked her early episodes, the later ones and her interviews showed that she loves "wacky" way too much for this show.
I'm still not clear on their dating history. They get together at the end of S1 and are still dating in early S2 (The Fire) where it seems like it has been going on for awhile with Pam's bitchy reaction. Then she disappears and Jim says he hasn't talked to her in awhile in E-mail Surveillance and then she magically…
The later scene of her glaring over at Jim and him sheepishly jumping up and running off makes me laugh every time. You can almost see the lasers shooting out of her eyes and burning him to a crisp.
My favorite Kevin explanation was that he took the doc crew for a bunch of money at a friendly poker game early on and they spent the rest of the series making him look like an idiot to get even.
@disqus_okgItcD0yy:disqus I was mainly referring to the writers who totally forgot all the despicable things Angela had done over the course of the show.
