Without a sworn statement, I think his confession to the police has no legal standing. Did they actually put something in front of him and make him sign it? That didn't appear in the episode.

@avclub-b9a25e422ba96f7572089a00b838c3f8:disqus Good points, but 2) is really I won't want to kill myself again until my weirdo boyfriend breaks up with me, cheats on me, or does some other dickhead maneuver, then the suicide thing is back on.
So aside from the physical appearances, I checked Wikipedia and IMDB and found not specifics there yet wrt real life details except for this fun little tidbit on Wikipedia:

Respectfully disagree. Calling out a man for acting like a woman or a girl is much more disrespectful that calling him a prick, dick or cock.
My favorite Doggett line: "I'm here because I'm a good shot."
C'mon, Fred Thompson could play the lethargic, southern-fried Skinner replacement who fires Reyes, but not because she's a lesbian. :-)

I think that the show is doing really well with Masters, portraying him as a superb doctor and a determined scientist, in spite of some rather typical hang ups and naiveties for man of his class and time. And these are the contexts where Virginia (and we the audience) recognize the quality of person he can be.
How many cartoonist have created such a distinct and easily recognizable style?
You may be right, a lot of classrooms have digital clocks now…that could also be because they're much easier to synchronize.
@avclub-0530bd878343f01904d5d9634a4f819b:disqus It's a complicated situation. There are people who really hurt themselves if they're not on their meds (Carrie got there at the end of Season 1). On the other hand, the wrong medication or too much of it can really sap the life out of someone, or have other very negative…
