Given the care with which Gould and Gilligan have guided this story, wouldn't you think that the title is in service to the story rather than opposed to it? In my mind, the title and the expectation it created ratcheted up the tension, while also dulling (slightly) the shock at it happening. Perhaps they wanted to

Hillary Clinton (narrowly) won the Kentucky primary.

So no fallout from Alex ignoring a direct order from the President? None at all?

He was an infant 35 years ago, though.

People have brought up Katie McGrath's accent before, and I never really got it. But this episode? It was horrendous. Unfortunately, it took me out of her scenes. I think her chemistry with Melissa Benoist is delightful, and I enjoy her on the show, but she really needs a dialect coach.

One and the same.

I'm totally with you. I really enjoyed the first one for the big, dumb fun it was.

Flipping channels one night I saw them doing Forever on Kimmel. I liked it, listened to their album the next day, and loved it.

In 1997 I had Denise Richards as the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, taking the role from Teri Hatcher.

I really hope this means expanded coverage of the Paralympics. NBC has been adding more and more coverage each year, but I'd like to see it expanded further - ideally to show more live events.

World of Darkness is my favorite system, because it's skill-based rather than class-based, so you can create whatever type of character you want. Also, it's very simple. I'd murder him if he ever said "intensive purposes."

I've been watching from the Netherlands. Not sure if we'll get S3 episodes next-day, but I'm hopeful.

What's funny is that the best way to be "fiscally conservative" is to be, by American terms, quite liberal. It doesn't get much more fiscally conservative than offering everybody preventative health care on demand. Education is cheaper than jail. School lunches lead to more productive adults.

PB&J is a terrible sandwich to sit in a plastic baggie for 4 hours, though. The jelly soaks into the bread and makes a disaster.

Sure, that's fine - but you'd have a hard time convincing me that people who literally believe in Superman are causing worldwide problems.

For my money, the best Superman since Christopher Reeve falls to Tyler Hoechlin, who played Supers in Supergirl. Youth aside, he was absolutely perfect - in a limited role, granted.

just because religions have done bad things doesn't mean religion itself is evil

For the record, MSG is 1.) Not bad for you; and 2.) Goddamn delicious!
