Yes. On the one hand, you have major artist like U2, Hall and Oates, Peter Gabriel, etc. who could afford to skip Sun City. On the other hand, Michael Monroe and Grandmaster Melle Mel weren't going to be playing there anyway.
That song always rang hollow for me. It was a bunch of multi-millionaires saying they wouldn't take money from a particular venue, but so what? They just booked other shows and continued to make money elsewhere.
