Promo for next week?
Since we all saw last night's promo for next week, I wanted to ask what people think of the shot of Pierre Chang hanging with Miles? If it's a Miles-centric episode for a change, then certainly it must be significant that he's working with the big man on the Dharma campus, Pierre. Anybody want to

Yeah, Locke didn't tell Ben that he was incapable of getting him rope to climb up like Christian told Locke he couldn't help him up when he banged up his leg (again!) down near the donkey wheel. That, my friend, is your difference.

The scene with Ethan was of vast importance last night. Ben stuck it out there like a sore thumb. "Shut up, Ethan!" But the scene was before the Purge. Ben didn't have the goofy wig in "The Man Behind the Curtain" when he gassed everyone. They would remember this. Ben was older when he killed his father.

dtipson: "Desmond wasn't shot in the chest, Desmond was shot in the groceries" is my new Facebook status. Thanks!!!

nhex: You wonder if Penny and Daniel are related?!!!!! ME TOO! In my Lost watching group I'm known as the one who thinks Widmore has fathered half the cast. Lying. But I was throwing theories at them that he is Daniel's father with Ellie; Penny's father with ?; and Charlotte's father as well. Charlotte was born on the

Yeah, in no way is it old-fashioned to apologize for waving a gun around the marina and again, SHOOTING Desmond. Whatever Ben's interactions with Desmond, he saw Des as an obstacle to killing Penny. He was expendable and shot him. On the other hand, maybe he didn't intent to kill him because he clearly missed on that

No. I don't think this is Smokey turning the Ajira survivors into murderous misfits. We know that only happened when the whole French troop went down the Temple hole. That box which Ben asked about was the one full of guns, right? Or had something to do with that group? It's the end of the season and I was right to

A Blaffair to Rememblack:

To those who would like to point out to me all the people who have been guest stars turned regulars, there is a thing called being histrionic! You all named TWO people who managed to start out as guest stars and turned into big time players. I can do it too! David Boreanaz as Angel! See! The point is that it ain't a

I'm still questioning the Desmond Penny story there with Ben simply because it wasn't entirely resolved with Desmond and Penny and little Charlie sailing off quickly. Yes, Ben looked roughed up in the water and the shot made him look chillingly like he was dead. But there is no telling what happened. Perhaps Desmond

I don't think John went and had a pow wow with Christian for five minutes in the jungle. Too short of time to do so and they didn't show it. But, I do believe Locke went to do something significant that they can't reveal until a later episode. There is an episode titled "Follow the Leader" that sounds like a

I felt Ben's overly wink winkiness with Cesar was because he was trying to create some way for John to get killed - again! - and then decided when Cesar wanted to create problems for Ben by keeping him from leaving in a boat, he decided it was best to use Cesar as a trust building exercise for Locke, to prove that

Yeah, I couldn't agree more! I really liked that shot. I didn't expect the burst of blood and it almost made it seem like Ben was dead in the water. It was quite an interesting choice. Props to Emerson too! Everyone knows Ben-centric episodes will deliver!

Ben's offerings of Lost wisdom and narration are never true.

I was set and prepared for Penny to be dead. SOOOO set for it. I really thought it was going to change the game and bring Desmond back into the fold. But I actually prefer this compassionate side of Ben. Killing children, not allowed. Interesting considering Sayid was perfectly capable of trying it on for size.

Having found Michael Emerson's The Practice guest star episodes online and watched them recently, I 100% think that Ben calling Widmore's "private number" is a private chuckle reference to Emerson's serial killer on The Practice who somehow got the private line of one of the lawyers he was stalking.

I heartily agree that the new Locke is an exciting development for the character. Having watched Lockdown from season 2 last weekend and remembering how directionless Locke was for so long, and seeing how he always needs someone to point the way, and now seeing that he holds the wisdom and secret knowledge that Ben

Did the guy who plays Cesar get a DUI in Hawaii last week?

Just to join the Michael Emerson love orgy, I have to say, this season has morphed me into his Number 1 fan. I used to have a hard time picking between Locke and Sawyer and Sayid and Juliet and Ben and Desmond because I liked them all, but I can say without a DOUBT in my mind that Michael Emerson as Ben is THE best

TomWaits: I love your comment! You could not have said it better. The look on Ben's face can be summed up with one word: "SHIT!" My whole Lost group was just like, "Oh man, the little toad didn't anticipate John pulling a JC and coming back!" It's course correction! Every time Ben tries to kill Locke, something
